Just got back from a fabulous 2 night trip. 3 adults, 2 kids.
I stayed in the Explorer, family stayed in the Cheyenne.
Brought a picnic bag for first day lunch with sandwiches, wraps, and snacks for the kids, (not huge, but bigger than your average lunch box!) had no problems bringing it into the Studios Park, but got collared at the ticket gate by an over enthusiastic Cast Member at the Disneyland Park Entrance.
He didnt budge when we told him that we had taken it into the Studios already, and told my brother to put it in the left luggage area, as it was "forbidden". So brother walked down towards the left luggage place and went in another gate with no problems! :lmao:

Weather was great. Queues were pretty bad, (didn't get to go on Crush Coaster as it was never less than 90 minutes) but used fast passes wisely and got on nearly everything else we wanted to!
CMs were lovely with the kids, (aged 6 and 9) lots of interaction.
6yr old absolutely loved the Peter Pan Follow the Leader show at Disneyland Park. It was half english and half french but he had no trouble whatsoever following it.
Ate at Rainforest cafe first night, (Ok, but not that special, kids liked it.)
Ate at Walts (American Restaurant) the next afternoon, lovely food, good service-would have been great serivce but they forgot to bring brothers beer! (He forgot about it too though until we had finished. ;) )
A bit pricey I think overall, for a lunch meal but totally worth it.
€8 for kids main course: Grandmas Chicken breast fillet with a lovely sauce, grilled whole tomato and french fries. They ate every single bit, and wiped up the sauce with fingers! (They are not too keen on burgers/chicken nuggets type childrens menus) 3 course kids menu was €14
€18-30 for adult main course Fish/steak/Duck etc.
Cost us €78-with my Annual Pass 10% Discount for 3 adults mains, 2 kids mains and a bottle of still water. Warm bread rolls and butter were included.

Walts Gournet burger was on the menu for €27 I think. Comes with fois gras. We didnt order it!

Am planning to go again for 1 day in September with friends who are emigrating. Their little girl is 2 and is mad about disney princesses. Does anyone know if I can use my dream pass to get discount in the UK Disney Stores like I can in the French stores? I want to get her a Rapunzel constume. Tangled is currently on repeat!

no I'm afraid your AP discount is only valid at DLP resort, not back here in the UK.

Sounds like you all had a fabulous time :goodvibes.

Thanks Elaine, I have used it at the Val D'Europ Disney Store as I had a special request for a Mickey mouse beaker with a Mickey straw, and couldn't find any in the Parks but found one there!
Didn't really think I could use it in the UK, but have had a look at the Disney store website and the Rapunzel outfit is only £30 anyway. (I think the little princess costumes are a lot more expensive in DLP.)

But yes, it was totally magical  there, and I can't wait to go again!

Welcome back! :goodvibes Yes, the Rapunzel dress here is £30 which is roughly half the price of DLP one which is E60! princess:

I love Walts too, and find the Express lunch menu great value, can't wait until the tarp comes down and we can get the views of Main Street back again! :lovestruc
