Sorry in advance that I didn't take pictures of the room at the CCI. We were having too much fun to stop and take pics.:)
First of all the CCI was wonderful as always and we had no problems. Everything was super clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. We couldn't hear any Carsland construction in our rooms but you could hear it during the day in the parking lot. Actually I'm amazed at how quiet the rooms are at CCI . We were on the second floor but never heard a peep out of anyone. Even the hallway was quiet. If I don't stay at a Disney property from now on CCI will be the only place I stay.
DLR was pretty crowded Saturday and Sunday, but I think Monday even more crowed. With SM and ST down the lines for the E ticket rides were pretty long. As long as you use good Fastpass strategies touring during busy times isn't a problem though for us.
We had great meals at Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, The Cove Bar and The Hungry Bear. I loved the Hungry Bears's new menu. The tomato sandwich was fabulous! Disneyland seems to be doing great job of revamping their food.
We had a great 3 day visit even though it was very crowded.

Glad to read you had a great trip! :thumbsup2
We're headed to the CCI in July and I can hardly stand the wait! Did you have a regular room or one of the deluxe rooms?

It's nice that you mentioned this since it's a question on many minds.

I don't think anyone will hear the sounds of the construction now that they have that huge wall up, all the noise will now be contained. I didn't hear anything even in the park on the other side of the wall...

I booked a regular room. We were pretty far down the "U", but I think it was a regular room, not an upgrade. It was just my daughter and myself in the room and we had more than enough space. If there were 4 people it would a little tight while getting dressed and showered. Most of the rooms have the vanity area separate from the shower which is nice for getting ready.

They were working on the beams supporting Carsland while we were there. You could hear work going on while outside. The manager said that the noise had been a problem for some of units closer to the construction, basically the premium rooms. I didn't hear any noise in our room though.

We just got back from our first trip to DL and CCI tonight, too. We stayed Sun-Wed (today). I might get around to writing a trip report but I will say here that we loved CCI and would definitely stay there again. We were in a regular room on the 1st floor right across from the pool on the side further away from the parks. We never heard construction at all while we were there. We swam Mon and Tues afternoons and really enjoyed the pools. The breakfast was good and the motel was landscaped beautifully. Everything was very clean. I even liked the toiletries provided in the bathroom. It was a quick walk to DL. We never took a shuttle but they looked nice. We really enjoyed our stay, and I'm glad that was my hotel choice.

I guess we were out by the pool together on Monday! What a nice day Monday was. We really lucked out with nice weather this trip. Not too hot and no rain.:goodvibes

Being on the first floor, how was noise from above rooms? We stayed there 3 years ago and were on the second level and I never heard a peep from anyone around us. I'm wondering how the first floor rooms are though.

How funny! I was there with DH and our little toddler. She was wearing a big pink hat and an Ariel swimsuit with a frilly bottom. Maybe you saw us!

I didn't hear anyone above us and I'm a light sleeper. I occasionally heard people walking by outside in the mornings but long after we were out of bed and I did hear birds chirping from the trees outside, but never anyone upstairs.

Thanks for the review - we leave tomorrow - we are staying in a deluxe room - did you use the shuttle?

Yes we used the shuttle coming back from the Park at night. I'm always to antsy to take a shuttle to the park. The shuttle was always on time every time we used it. You do have to walk out towards Harbor a bit to get to the shuttle stop but it was fine and not too far at all.

Hi, just wondered if the lines for the shuttle were ever too big to fit everyone? Will the driver come right back if so? I especially wanted to know about nighttime when my 3 girls will be exhausted. :) TIA!

The last time we stayed was in a busy month, July, and we never had any crowding issues. Even at the end of the night. I think they even had 2 shuttles running at the end of the day to get everyone back to the hotel.

Oh yes! That's what I want to hear! :goodvibes That is such a benefit then!! I was thinking we could use the shuttle for afternoon breaks but that morning and night shuttles would have way too long of a line to be worth waiting for. We are going June 23-27, so the crowds would be the same, if not better, than July. Thank you for posting, Daisybelle!
