I'm fairly new to this board but have to share with you guys... I've been reading this board every day before my trip to disney world. Left last wed. nite and just got back mon. nite. It was incredible with Illuminations, Fantasmic, Spectromagic, Wishes... they even had fireworks at midnite at Pleasure Island!!! All I can say is wow! And due to numerous raves about Le Cellier at Epcot, I went there for dinner and it was excellent!!! Also went to Blue Zoo at the Dolphin Resort. I'm telling you, when I get enough money to get myself into one of those Disney resorts, I will be in heaven!!! It was soooo pretty! But the best and most memorable would have to be at Magic Kingdom. As my boyfriend and I went through Mickey's house and then trying to get a picture with Mickey, the line was over an hour long. So we decided that we would just come back for it. Well... as we walk out and pass the CM, he asked us if we got to see Mickey. We told him the line was too long. And guess what?!?!?! He said "Come with me and I'll you to the back way." So needless to say, we gained an hour of our time AND got to see Mickey!!!! Talk about Disney magic in the air. ;) Another cool thing was that as we're waiting in line for Haunted Mansion, one guy had 2 fast passes and asked us if we only had 2 people. We said yes, he gave us those tickets and we bypassed everyone else! That was another blessing in itself! And let me tell you, nothing like this ever happens to me, except here in Disney World!!! I can't wait to save enough money to go again. Granted, I'm 26 but I'm never too old to go to Disney World and see Mickey... :D

So happy that you had a wonderful trip...sounds like lots of pixie dust!

So glad to hear that you had a magical trip! That was wonderful that you got to meet Mickey w/out having to stay in line for an hour. Thanks for posting about your trip!

:sunny:

Have to tell you, I am almost 50 and a grandmother of 2. I still get a lump in my throat just thinking about being there. Spectromagic parade music starts and I have a tear in my eye! Silly I guess, but there it is. There is something very special about WDW (at least for me). It is something that just touches your heart in a special way and makes you feel like a kid again. I hope you never lose the magic!!::MickeyMo

Sounds as though you had a wonderful time ~ Thanx for sharing.

Welcome to the Board. Great report. Our family is one of those that frequently gives away fastpasses. And the look of surprise and appreciation is well worth it.

Glad to hear you want to stay onsite at a Disney Resort. We always stay at the ASmo (All Star Movies). It is a Value resort, very reasonable and a sure way to save $$ on lodging but get the full Disney Magic of their customer service.
Some day we'll splurge for a monorail resort, but for the time being, we just aren't in our resort room enough each day to justify the expense.

I can only hope we can help someone out throughout our stay and spread some Disney magic too! :wizard:
