I got goosebumps reading your report it really is the unexpected magic like being roped off right in front of the parade that makes Disney so special for me.

I totally understand about having "fun" at the first aid station. If this board had been around 20 years ago here would have been my post:

October, 1986...Just got back from Disney World from our very first trip. The Magic Kingdom was awesome, what a place! DD4 had a blast and DS6months slept through it all. From a person who has only seen Busch Gardens, Carowinds, Six Flags, county fairs, etc., this place was surreal. There were places to park strollers and special places in the restrooms to change baby diapers. The park was super clean and the workers in the park treated you like something special. Oh, and the rides were great too!

In other words, it's the complete experience that grabs you the very first time and makes you want to return and return. DD is 24 now and DS is 20 and we all just returned from our 13th trip to the World. What a wonderful place for families to go and make memories.

walking from adventureland to frontierland only to get stopped and roped off to let all the gorgeous xmas floats pass RIGHT BY IN FRONT OF US. The characters were waving, smiling, it was such an unexpected magicial moment,

This sounds great. How/when did this happen (during MVMCP)?

The "roping" off happened on Dec. 2nd. They were filming the Xmas day parade. Basically, we just got off of Splash Mtn and was headed to Pecos Bills for lunch (if I remember correctly). They basically roped people off - you couldn't move forward and then, whala, all these beautiful floats passed right by. We saw Cinderella & the Prince, Belle & the Beast, Aladdin and Jasmine, Cinderella's pumpkin carriage. It was so beautiful. The characters were smiling and waving at everyone; they were headed to main street, i believe for the taping. And then, when we were in Pecos Bills, we got to see some Xmas floats/characters ie, reindeer, snowmen and finally, Santa rode right pass us in his big sleigh. My dd was in awe b/c it was like Santa waved right at her.....there wasn't many people there looking at it b/c noone was expecting it so it did seem like he was looking right at you!

We were there last week, too and walked on to every ride except POC which took about 20 minutes.
