hi all,
just wanted to give you all a summary of our trip. i got so much help from all of you here before our trip so if you have any questions, etc. i would be happy to answer!
we were at disney from 11/28-12/3 for the first time. we stayed at the poly; me, hubby & 4 1/2 yo dd. to summarize, we had a BLAST! weather was perfect. we got to swim everyday and it was comfortable walking in the parks, etc. The crowd level was LOW! Everyday was walk-on to almost everything. Saturday was the busiest I think b/c of the xmas parade and b/c it was saturday! we waited 30 min. for dumbo at nighttime which really wasn't terrible considering the lack of crowds all week. also, sat. during the day, hubby only waited 5 min to get on splash mtn and this was at 12pm so again not bad at all! Tons of character interactions with virtually no wait. We could not believe the customer service at Disney. EVERY cast member was terrific. DD has asthma and was recovering from a cold. We got to give her a nebulizer treatment in the first aid bldg. They even stored the nebulizer for us. They made something which could have been daunting be so easy. they were so friendly and made dd feel so special. it was actually "fun" being at the first aide bldg (I know that sounds crazy!).
highlights/special moments for us: 1900 park fare cinderella dinner-dd's giddiness over this and having her spend sooo much time with each character, swimming at nighttime, watching the electric water parade and then unexpectedly getting to see holiday wishes from the poly's lagoon, walking from adventureland to frontierland only to get stopped and roped off to let all the gorgeous xmas floats pass RIGHT BY IN FRONT OF US. The characters were waving, smiling, it was such an unexpected magicial moment, all the beautiful holiday decorations & hearing xmas carols with our bathing suits on, having ALL the cast members say hi to "belle" as my daughter walked in costume each and every day!
of course the list can go on and on.....again, if anyone has any questions, i'd be happy to answer. thank you all for all your tips and help in making this a wonderful, memorable vacation for us.
happy holidays,
mary

Great memories.
Glad you had such a great trip!
I'm so glad to hear you had a great trip. We leave Monday and another post had me shaking in my shoes w/fear from all the sickness...thanks! Good restaurant tips, too.
JK, even though I have seen this done - but usually at Six Flags.
I love when the magic
