We went from Sept 15 to Sept. 30th and had a great time. The weather was hot and humid some days but as time went on us northerners got used to it. We stayed at Pop - a great place to stay. The room was always clean, the beds were nice, and the food court was always great. We stayed in the 50's section and really enjoed the bowling ball pool. From our room on the 4th floor we could see the fireworks at MK, Epcot and HS whenver they ran. We also went to the MNNSHP and had alot of fun. We booked a bounce back for 2 weeks next year for the same time frame and received the same DDP as this years - 1 snack, 1 QS and 1 TS per night. Honestly, the food is too much - these are full course meals. We didn't eat all of our meals at lunch and used them on the last day to buy snacks, etc. to bring home. We used the Arcade for the first time this year at Pop and it was alot of fun. They gave us a coupon of 30 minutes free paly on games that do not give tickets and it was fun. So the next night we diced to get our own cards to play games. We won enough tickets to get the lava lamp!
The ADR's went well with no problems. The places that we really liked was Chef Mickey's, Italy, France, Tony's, and especially the Big River brewing Company at Boardwalk. By ythe way, at this place you can watch them brew many beers, and try them out. We ordered the new york strip steak and it was delicious.
Weather: it only rained hard twice and wasn't a factor on any day. The ehat got warm the 2nd week - we even set a record for the 93F we hit on Tuesday.
Water parks: we loved Typoon lagoon and went there twice over the vacation. The large wave pool was fun and the Crush & Gushers slides were great! By the way, they also make great mini donuts there - try them out!
Buses: 95% of the time we were on a bus within 10 minutes of getting to the waiting area. But on a few days the wait was longer - especially if you were planning on going to DTD.
