First off I must say the food has definatley improved by far since our last visit in June 2008. We ate at Riverbelle for lunch and the sandwiches are fantastic. We had turkey and New york Roast. It was great. We did dinner at Naples and the service and food was wonderful. We had a ressie and we walked in and they seated us immediently, no waiting at all. We also ate at Wine country Trattoria, the food is amazing, we did lasagne, and the chicken panini, however the service is terrible. We were on time for our ressie and we were not seated until almost 20 minutes later, the waiter didn't come back to refill drinks, and then he totally blew the surprise of my DS birthday pirates box, so that was ruined. We did dinner at Steakhouse 55, and everything was wonderful. Service is totally top notch and worth every penny. We also ate at Pinocchios village haus for lunch and the food was alot better than before and they offered chicken wraps which was good as well. We ate dinner at coca cola corner, always good. What we tried new was, we ate lunch at Tortilla Joes, and it was fantastic, totally worth the money. We also ate at tony romas accross the street and it was good, and service was great. On our last day we ate lunch at Espn and everything there was better than we remembered as well. The park food was noticably better than it has been in previous years. We also did dessert at blue bayou and it was great, however the server was so fricken rude because we only ordered dessert, he said "that's it? just dessert?" when he brought it he didn't say anything and he never came back to check on us, and someone else brought us the bill. The dessert was good though.
As for rides: They had a lot of issues last week. Space mountain broke down a few times while we were in line, and so did roger rabbit. Indy was broke the last day we were there. We noticed indy has been having issues last week, sometimes the doors never lit up your jeep goes thru, the ball didn't work, the bugs on the wall didn't work. It was weird. The wait times for rides varied from 5 - 25 minutes max. We enjoyed the weather, no rain. We also enjoyed that it wasn't crowded. We stayed accross the street at Desert Inn and suites.

Thanks for your report. Glad you had a good time. Thanks for the food reviews as well. Just a quick note, a priority seating isn't a reservation, it's just like putting your name on the list before you go to the restaurant, as a result you can still be waiting up to 30 min. past your PS time. A lot of people don't realize that tho so it can be annoying. Sorry the server wasn't so great and he ruined your DS's surprise!! :( And thanks for the BB report, rude service there too. You should have complained on our way out, I would have. Did you eat inside at Tortilla Joe's? I ask because we did the takeout window once and it was horrible!!!! I've wondered about eating inside, I've heard good things about it. Indy....they need to shut that baby down for a nice long refurb! Seriously......it breaks down all the time! It did it on our last trip 5 times while we were waiting in line! We got to ride but parts weren't working for us either, we were bummed, especially after waiting so long even with our fastpasses.

Were the sandwiches at RBT big? Would they be sharable? I didn't know Village Haus had chicken wraps!!! I love chicken wraps!!! Note to self....eat at Village Haus.....LOL :)

Oh man if that was my waiter at BB he'd be crying by the time I left. How rude! I would definitely have talked to the manager and made sure that I got at least an apology before I left!

Makes me laugh I bet that rude waiter still got a tip..... :)

Thanks for the update we are heading there in June and hope to try out some new places. Blue Bayou is on our list as we had a lovely time there last time. That and Goofys might be our special treats.

We ate inside tortilla joes. I was impressed. Never really heard much about it before. But Me and my son split to Nacho's it was like $8.97 and Dh had steak Fahitas, (can't spell), and he also tries a 3 shot taste test of 3 different tequillas. They put them in these shot glasses called sabers. The entire bill was only $49. Not bad as I thought it would be more like $70. The nachos were way to big for me and Ds. The nachos are more for like 4 people to share. The food was great. The sandwiches at Riverbelle were impressive. We ate there in June 08 and it wasn't as good. But The sandwiches are very big, could definatly be split. My Dh ate all of his, he got a New York Roast sandwich with a side of beans and fruit and drink, when I saw how big it was me and DS opted for 2 kids turkey sandwich meals. We both got sandwich (it was just the right size and very good) and fruit and drinks. It came up to $28.00. Not bad at all. The chicken wrap at Pinocchios was a kids meal I think, I know it was a good size and was really good. We also tried the chicken wrap at ESPN and it was HUGE, me and Ds split it and it was still too much. I forgot to mention we tried the Dole whip for the first time. We are all Fans!!!! It was terrific.
As for Indy, wow. It was bad, they do need to refurb. It was weird. When you first take off to go thru one of the 3 doors, the lights never came on we just always went to the left. The room you go into, the lights were off so you couldn't really see all the detail along the ceiling and walls, the bugs never lit up on the wall in the bug room. And the ball never rolled out at the end. Only 1 time we rode it on Wednesday morning at 11:30am, is when everything worked at once. After that it started breaking down. We'd walk over to it to ride it numerous times and it was closed.
Also forgot to mention we saw a bomb sniffing dog in toon town. Someone had left a lunch box on top of the fast pass booth for roger rabbit and they had security out blocking people from getting a fast pass and then they brought out the dog. He had a thing on him that said K-9 TEAM and they made him jump up and smell it. Finally they opened it and it had a half eaten sandwich and a lolly pop in it. I took pics of the dog, he was a black lab. He was cute.

Hahahaha, he did get a tip. LOL!! I couldn't not leave a tip, I'm weird like that, but it wasn't a good tip only 2 bucks because i was mad. I should have left nothing.

Also, anyone wanting to try out steakhouse 55, they now offer a prix fix meal. It was $35 and included a New York steak, baked potatoe, salad, and dessert a torte. There were 5 of us. Me my husband, 10 year old son, my mom and dad. My dad had the prix fix meal, my mom and I had the onion soup, and my son had the kids prime rib, and my husband had the 10 oz. filet mignon and baked potatoe, ceasar salad. We ordered one dessert to split, it was the flourless chocolate cake. They had used icing and wrote happy birthday on the plate for my son, and decorated the little dessert cake with mickey sugar faces, and they sang to him and gave him a birthday card signed by our waiter and the staff on duty that night. The entire bill with tip was $148. Not bad at all. And well worth it.

I think America will be such a nice place to live once people get a reset on their expectations.

I'm glad you found most of the experiences to be better than the last time you were there, and thanks for sharing them.

Welcome back,

It sounds like you had a very nice visit overall. Reading about all of that food is making me drool, just a tad bit. ;)

Great foodie TR!

I really think DL has to start being more conscious about it service at BB, particularly when it comes to folks only wanting dessert. They do have a right to refuse service, but as a customer (or guest!), you have every right to complain or not tip (if merited).

Those things about Indy make me sad. I hope they fix those issues.

Thanks for the TJs review. I love me some nachos!! In fact, I'm pretty sure that's I'm having for lunch today. :) I really love Mexican food but man, I was sooooooo disappointed in the take out window so we've never gone back. We enjoy eating at Chevy's (yes, I know, it's not "real" Mexican food), we usually get fajitas and the 4 of us share it. :) I think we may have to try the sandwiches at RBT, the sharing idea is a good one, or I could just get the kids meal. I forget I can do that sometimes. LOL I love RBT for breakfast, they have the BEST Mickey pancakes. :)

Mmmm.... Chevy's. Yum!

We also recently tried the turkey sandwhich at RBT and it was really good. That's now one of my favorites. It was nice to eat some "real" food that (i think) must be fairly healthy. They also had a condiments bar where you could get BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, honey mustard, etc.

I saw that condiment bar, YUM!!! I love BBQ sauce so pretty much anyplace I can add BBQ sauce to anything is good for me. LOL Just call me Simi........only people who read Sherrilyn Kenyon will get that one. LOL :)
