Yes there's always a But!!!

This was my second trip to DLRP. I got the Disney bug when I was little and have been going to florida and california since then. I am a perfectionist, as you will see now!!!!

The Hotel (Sante Fe), which I thought after all the reviews I had read, was pretty damn good. I mean the idea isn't the best, but they've done a good job out of a poor idea. (if ya get me!!!)

Disney Village. I have to say is a poor version of Orlandos Downtown Disney, and Anaheims Downsized version. The Restaurants are all Very good, But where is the atmosphere outside. Although it was very busy, it seemed dead! I'm not too sure if there are plans to beef this part of the resort up. I did notice what looked to be a new multi storey, and NEX. So is the future bright?? :confused3

Also I thought i might add. Has anyone notice the state of the floors (concrete around the resort)??

Disneyland Park. Absolutely........ Amazing. What more can I say. Halloween festival was brilliant :thumbsup2 All the rides were just fantastic.
My first visit a few years back POTC was closed. Wasn't this time, and I loved it even more than the american versions.

One weird thing I noticed was.... Why is Legend of the Lion King in Discoveryland?? I thought that was odd. It seems better suited to frontier??

Disney Studios. I know that in a few years time, this will be my fav Disney Park going. But as it stands now (During Construction) I have a few concerns. As you exit Studio 1, it seems Very Very Cramped. I heard rumours of them re-planning the Entrance to The Tram Tour. But this in my mind needs to be done before TOT opens. As you Queue for the tram you can almost touch the tower!! (well not quiet!!) ;)

I have some aweson pictures showing off the tower, Toon Studios and the resort but I don't know how to post them.

I'm glad you had a good time :goodvibes

I agree with you about the Studios (indeed all your comments!) - I'm sure it will be a really good park in time. :wizard: Here is an interesting article from Mice Age about future improvments for the park.

Would love to see your photos - when someone else has explained how to do them!!! :teeth:

Great to hear that you enjoyed yourself as well as items you think could be better.

Lion King is in Discoveryland purely because all the infrastructure to stage the show is situated there. From day one Videopolis was designed as the parks main arena/theater space which would be able to stage varying shows as needed. There simply isnt any other fully enclosed theater of that size in the park that could have held the crowds that The Lion King show brings in.
