Just got back anyone else feel the same?

My fiancée and I just got back from a 8 day vacation at the Grand in WDW yesterday and we had a great time. Never did nor will do rope drop. Got to ride Toy Story Mania(finally!!) and twice. Hit all the rides we wanted durning peak times with our FP+ and all the others in stand by with 20-30 min waits/single rider. We have AP but never even used paper old FP even though we could have.

I talked to one of there survey people apparently Disney is aware of the park hopping issue and the 3 a day and plans to implement changes once the old machine are gone for good. Anyway just wanted to chime in and say this was one of the better trips we have had and loved the MB/FP+. The bands worked for everything charging, room access, theme park admission(omg so much quicker), FP+. Never once saw a "blue" Mickey. I can't wait till the next trip and hopefully the changes will be in place my only grip is hopping and tiering. Anyone else have anything positive to say from first hand use?

(Oh and if your going to Jellyrolls bring a CC that was the only time we had trouble with the bands)

YES!! I WAS IN WDW FROM 11/28-12/7, my FP+ experience was very, very good. And I told every CM too!!
And I posted as such while on a bus ride back to the resort.

We just got back and also loved MB and FP+. Got on everything we wanted without having to be there at rope drop. MB's worked for everything!:cool1:

We got back on the 17th after our week at WDW and loved the MB and FP+. Didn't think I would like it but it worked well. I was able to change FP+ selections same day but once the full implementation is up, I'm not sure that will be possible.

We have two more days left on our (WONDERFUL!) trip and I am now a fast pass plus believer!
Blue Mickeys? My DD and DH haven't had one, but I've been having them all the time! But it is NO BIG DEAL. The CMs are right there with a SUPER positive attitude. My blue Mickeys have actually made my trip more fun! :)

We just returned from a trip a few weeks ago. We also loved FP+, and the MB's - they worked great for everything, except the FP+. Every single time we tried to check in at a ride the CM's would tell us we didn't have a FP+ booked and we had to have the app open and show them our reservation.

I also had problems charging to our account at Basin, like the OP, at a non-Disney establishment on property. They have the reader, but the clerk kept getting an odd error message. Even the IT CM that I talked to back at our resort didn't know what it was.

Other than those issues we liked the new systems and we see a lot of potential once the glitches are sorted out.

I talked to my sister after she finally got to ride TSM last week, she loved the new system it's the first time she ever got to ride it. she was never a morning person or a planner. She told me this is great I can sleep in and ride a few rides!

We just got home from an 11 day trip on the 19th and loved the MB's and FP+. There were 9 of us in the group from age 2-56 and we never really got any super early starts at the parks but were still able to ride everything we wanted. We found it really easy to change our times or rides on our FP+ in fact I changed times quite often when we didn't leave the room as early as I'd figured we would.

Two thumbs up from all 9 of us on the new system :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We were there Dec 8-16. We had 0 problems. It was nice not having to get up at the crack of dawn (it is vacation...) to go to Hollywood Studios to get Toy Story fast passes.

We only had charging issues one night (and I can't even remember which), and I suspect it was user error by the CM using the reader (he seemed very unsure of what to do). So, I don't really feel like I can count that as a band problem.

I went expecting issues from all the complaint posts on the boards. I should know better by now than to accept the bandwagon posts.

I felt the same way while planning our trip and I even commented to my fiancee how the forums I had been reading(these boards) were full of negative things about the system. She was surprised considering how great it was during our trip. She even said maybe they were experiencing a different Disney World than we were lol. It was so nice riding Toy Story Mania for the first time, I get why it's so popular now lol.

Thanks so much for a positive thread about MB/FP+! I'm planning our first ever trip to WDW and was beginning to worry that it would be a hectic mess. Hearing that there are positive experiences has left me feeling hopeful and excited. pixiedust:

Agreed! :thumbsup2

I was going to start a new thread on how much we loved the MBs. Worked perfectly every time. I'm only so-so on the FP+ . It's a bit restrictive and no hopping yet.
