Just got a pin

For up to 30% off deluxes, 25 on mods, and 20 on values. Book by 10/31/13...our trip is 10/18-28.Talk about late notice! I'm not complaining though; )(Especially since FD didn't work out) Just wanted you guys to be on the lookout!

I just got the same pin offer. First pin EVER,, will be going the week before Christmas.

But, is it not the same public offer right now on the website? I think you can book later than on the website, but it looked exactly the same to me...

Not sure...I know on the website my resort, CR, was not included (as there were also NO FD rooms offered), and it says select resorts on the pin. However, there is a picture of the CR above the deluxe category on my pin...so, I am hoping with the pin I have, it will be included.

I may call Disney just to see what the difference is outside of the dates if I get a chance.

I doubt I can make a trip at this time with so much going on...I am thinking more along the lines of May right now.

I also just noticed That eventhough we have received several pins in the past, both in the mail and email, this is the first for our actual dates...BUT it has someone's name on it that I have never heard of and our address. I am hoping Disney honors it, because the discount gods have been terrible to us

There's an extra 5% off for the values and moderates. The values is up to 20% instead of 15% with the public offer and moderates are 25% off instead of 20%.

I currently have reservations with this promotion but an considering booking thru Orbitz because they have an additional 20% on top of the public code for hotel only bookings.

So upset...there was no availability for fd at CR, so we were able to apply the pin. ..but no rooms available for the discount for that either It's our kid's first trip to Disney, and we really want to stay at CR. The only way we are going to get any discount is to stay pretty much anywhere else:/

I'm not sure what you mean. Did you leave out/write the wrong words in your post? Why didn't you take FD if it was available?

Yes.Sorry! Meant to say NO availabilty for fd. When fd was released, CR had zero rooms with it available. We were offered to move to a lagoon view room at GF, but we really love the CR and wanted our kid's first trip to be there. So, we decided to stay with CR. Yesterday, I get a pin in the mail about the ro discounts with a picture of the CR on the flyer, and yet again there are no discounts available for the CR. Again, we could probably switch resorts, but because we want to stay at CR, there will be no discount for us. It's a little frustrating. I feel like we are being punished for wanting to stay there, and people keep trying to convince us to move somewhere else.
Sorry, venting...I don't want to sound entitled or anything. It's just very frustrating when you think you are going to get a discount twice, and you get a pin, which most of the time is a sure thing, and still are turned down

Pins are meant to fill unfilled rooms. Why offer a discount if not needed? That is why POFQ and Little Mermaid rooms are most always excluded. I would never pass up free dining or room discount to stay at a particular resort. Free dining saves us over $200 a night since we are a family of 4 by Disney standards. You are the one choosing to pass up the discount by staying at CR.

Just got this same PIN in the mail today, but unfortunately not even close to my dates. This pin is for stays 9/29-11/22 and 11/30-12/23. We are going in April. Guess I'll keep hoping for another PIN for my dates. But wanted to let you know that PIN's are going out.

got the same pin via email. Staying at AS Sports 10/31-11/4. 88 dollars a night room average, not too shabby

I have a friend that is booked for early October with no discount and he just got this PIN. Can a PIN be applied to an existing reservation? His travel agent told him he could only apply it to any new reservations and that it could not be used for existing reservations.
