I received an e-mail this morning with a PIN code. I called to see if we could apply it to our trip Dec 18-22. At first the cm couldn't find it. She then looked again and checked for availability. We had booked the CR with a theme park view. The PIN code was good for a tower room, but with a bay lake view. The rate was $932 less than our theme park view. I told her I'd have to talk to the kids and husbands before I switched rooms. I then decided to call back and talk to a different cm. They always seem to have different answers so I figure I'd try again. The cm couldn't find the PIN code attached to our household. I then went back and looked at my e-mail. There was a different last name on the letter from Disney Destinations. She put me on hold to check with guest services. I looked through the white pages to see where these people were from. I live in Texas but got a family from Washington's pin code. She said it appeared at first that we had the same e-mail. I then started to wonder if we've had pin codes before, but maybe they were sent to the other people. After being put on hold for about 20 minutes, she came back on and said they switched the name on the pin code to our name instead of theirs. They then checked to computer and saw that it was definitely our e-mail address, not theirs. They switched everything over. I feel bad for the other family if they are waiting for a PIN code. They don't have it anymore. Disney has screwed up on their e-mail address. So, if you are from Wautoma WA and waiting for a code, you won't get it. I know the family's name, so if you are from there, e-mail me to confirm this is not you. If it is, you need to call Disney and get your name and e-mail address straight with them.
After a thirty minute phone call, I decided to not switch to the bay lake view. My kids have their hearts set on the theme park view.
