Just got a pin code for Oct, Nov and Dec

I don't think it has anything to do with the Mom's Club b/c I am a member and I did not get one. My father...so not a member, got a pin code. I called for my time period in early Nov and absolutely nothing was available anywhere. Kinda stinks that we finally got one and there is nothing avl at Value, Mod, or Deluxe.

I'm not a Mom's Club member and got a Pin - and as I mentioned it came in my former last name, so I'm clueless what kind of mailing list they could have utilized. I gave the pin # to the TA to see, but if early November is gone then we are out too, as that is when we are going.
 
And of course we probably won't go. We've gone each fall for the last few years and have loved that time of year. But DS starts kindergarten this year and DH won't take him out. I, of course, see the educational value and would in a heartbeat!

I will still try to influence DH, but I think it's a lost cause. :(

Is the pin code everyone talking about "Once upon a dream Disney resort offer" ?? That is the title of the email I got. So if this is it, I got it too. I honestly am not planning to go til May, but this sure tempts me!!! I am not apart of any Moms panel or whatever, either.
 
I got the same email as the OP,,,but we're going in a month (with 40% code) and don't have any plans of going back so soon!

I just got the email too; unfortunately I don't think I'll be using it :( We have a trip planned in January for marathon weekend and I don't think I can swing two trips in the next six months!
 
I got the code too! I was able to use it for 10/30 - 11/05, so it's cool for us.
I was able to use it for my moderate resort, so it's not just for value. I added the dining package but now I'm not sure if it's a good deal.

The people who received the email and were able to use it - do you know what the % off on a deluxe turned out to be?

I've not heard back from my TA yet on whether or not I was able to use it. Kind of frustrating as I really thought I'd know by now. We are staying at the WL in November. The email came to my pre-married name though, so I wasn't sure if that would be an issue for us. . .or if there would be any rooms available for the code to be applied.
 
I got this pin code as well, and of course we can't use it. :headache:

Maybe the public code will be usable for us. *crossing fingers*
 
I think we got the email and code as well! Do you know what type of discount was offered with it? Is it the same for everyone who receives the email?
 
I just got a PIN code in my email too! I am excited. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get back this year, but now maybe we can go!!!
 
I just got one for Deluxe Villas at SSR and OKW, but of course, it's when we can NEVER go (I'm a teacher). Oh well, going in November anyway, but still...

Probably because that is the week I AM GOING :cool1: so ofcourse no discount for me :sad1: but probably because that week is already showing no availability at the Values and Even Deluxe as some have posted. No point offering a discount if they are all booked up. ;)
Add me to that list too. We're going 12/6/08-12/13/08 and no codes so far. If we decided to cancel our trip, then the codes would come out and then there would be no availability to rebook. I have Charlie Brown luck.:sad2:
 
I heard back from my TA. I was booked at the WL in a standard room from 11/8 - 11/14. There weren't any standard rooms available for the discount with the pin # for that week. So she got me upgraded to a courtyard view with the pin # and it will cost me $200 less than I was paying for the standard room. :) Not a great savings, but I'm better off than I was before the pin - so I'm happy. :)
 
So i got the email too, called to get the room only rate (the email tells you to call for the "special room only offer", in addition to the package discount it spells out). I talked to a guy this a.m. who insisted that we were getting a 40% off code with this email, when he gave me the room only total I told him that didnt add up (we've been there20+ times i knew what ballpark regular rack rate was) as a discounted rate. He actually gave me a higher total for rack rate (still didnt add up to the 40%, he must not be very good at math). I asked him three times if that was actually a discounted pin code for room only. Each time he said yes, and remarked that not very many people get a 40% off code so we were lucky. Again, didnt add up though. So i hung up with him, called back immediately, got another CM who said there is NO room-only discount code and gave me the same numbers as the previous guy who insisted we were discounted at that amount. What losers. Why send an email telling people to call for their "special room only offer" when there isnt one-- unless your plan is to scam them and rope them into it.

If you got the same email that I believe a lot of us got, I cannot see anywhere on it where it says anything about room only. It says "at select disney value resorts including theme park tickets."

My discount is for 50% off the room.
 
my email stated"special room only discounts avail". When priced out though, there was really not discount. I so want to use this code:mad:
 
I just got this e-mail also. Unfortunately, I can't use the pin. Although the pin came to MY e-mail address, the e-mail is addressed to my Mom and only she can use the pin. Why are they sending my mom e-mails at my address? Don't know. I made a reservation last year for my extended family of 9 people. Her name is listed first on the reservation - maybe that's why. Sucks to be me today. I was hoping to use this code for my October ressie. Know what's the worst? They even sent me another e-mail later in the day and guess what? Same e-mail.....to my Mom.:confused3
