Just got a nice little package from Disney . . .

I believe we have always received on at least in the last 5 years. We do book over the phone thru disney and then we usually get it around two months before we are suppose to arrive. Oh also i only pay the deposit before we leave, then pay the rest when we get there.

:wave2: Kimi

Booked online June3rd. Got the packet about a week ago. We still have the balance to pay in August. We are going Sept 26th. We have stayed on property, by renting DVC points, so we've never received this. But it had our hotel on it and some stuff about Food and Wine.

We always get one...I love using it for scrapbooking. We got our most recent one about a week or two after we booked (in April) and we had only paid the deposit at the time. We'll be arriving on September 10th.

I think they are afraid I'm going to forget we're coming on October. I get either a new resort confirmation or one of those folders almost every single day!

I got a cute little personalized thingy last time, but it didn't have any maps in it. This time - nothing so far, but I keep checking the mailbox! One day I had 4 confirmation letters in there! (Two for me & two for my parents, who I booked a seperate reservation for since they have different ticket needs.)

I want one! I want one! We booked online and haven't paid it off as of yet, but will be paying it off by next week. I hope we get one too!

I hope we get one. Not so much for myself but we are in a Grand Gathering of 22- and lots of our party are 1st timers.

I called and booked my Magical Exress and told the CM about how the packet said "Happiest Celebration" though it will be over by our trip and he had a good chuckle. if anyone ends up getting one with Year of a Million Wishes info, I'd love to know what it says!

I just called WDW info line and asked why we had not received any package like this, they said until we are paid in full, nothing will be sent to us. We booked back in March!! Quote "if anyone has received something without paying in fulll - don't believe it, unless you're reading quote's from WDW's website"!! How bout that?? Guess we just have to wait - just wanted to pass this along-- :confused3

We got one last year when we booked with AAA! Our agent called us and told us that he had a little present for us to pick up!

I got one just a couple of weeks after booking. I booked my September trip in early April. My packet is exactly as everyone's .. customized to my resort and requests with the little maps... but one strange thing occurred. I live in town 'A' and my dad and my job were in town 'B' 1 hour away. My dad passed away in March. During lunch one day I ran to pick up his mail as we have left the PO box he used open. My packet was sent to my father's PO box. Why? I do not know. I have never booked a trip using my father's address. When I called Disney about some ADRs the cast member confirmed that they only have my address from town 'A' on file. It was very strange that they sent my packet to town 'B' but as I was having a horrible day at work that day.. I was very happy for the surprise pixiedust:

Seems like there isn't much of a "rhyme or reason" as to how they send them out. I called the CM about a week or so ago and booked a package and put just $200 down for a trip in December, I even told them I didn't want to add the park tickets until later, just the room for now, and he said he would make it a package, and I could call back whenever I decided on which tickets we wanted. It's not much of a package, not much bigger than standard letter size, and as others have posted, it is basically pamphlets/maps. It is cute since the name is personalized on it.

Strange and stranger...

I booked my and DB's seperate ressies and later made changes on them to packages. He received the "packet" and I did not. Neither are paid in full. who knows. :confused3

We booked our vacation in April and have already paid in full and have not received any package except our MNSSHP tickets today! I want this other package - it sounds cool! :)

Partner and I are going at the end of July. Booked and paid for through Disney and we didn't get a little packet. I want a packet! I want a packet now! :bounce:

Here's just another one to add to the confusion. I also received the packet thing, even though I have changed my ressie to Nov. I keep getting stuff for July. Talk about freaking me out the first time I got it. Luckily, I checked online, and everything is correct. I also received, last week, a square "tip sheet" from POR. The square folds out, and it has "Things to do", "Great Dining" and "Last Minute Details" inside it. Again, I am assuming it was sent for our original trip for July. Oh, and our ressie still isn't paid for, but I did talk to a live person when changing the ressie. Who knows? :confused3

:teeth: We have gotten one of these for May 2005 (room only reservation with CM discount), May 2006 (package), and Sept. 2006 (package). I didn't get one for our DVC trip in Feb. 07.

We usually get them shortly after booking. Also, one of my packages was booked by phone and one online. :)

And for September, I actually have 2, since I booked....they mailed one. Then I added a day and they sent another one. :confused3

We received one this week for a trip planned in March, 2007. I made hotel reservations, no tickets, package, etc. We haven't even put down a deposit yet -- it's due in a couple of days! The letter even had 2 photos of the resort we're planning to stay at. We received a similar purple packet last year when I booked.
