Just got a Great offer from Disney Visa

I use mine pretty often. It just takes me FOREVER to earn rewards. I would love to get a few promotions to bump up my rewards.

I totally understand. I've had both Disney cards and the best reward was the sign up bonus. I closed the fee card and keep open the free card. I also referred my daughter for the free card and received $100 for that several years ago. She got the statement credit and then didn't use the card at all. She really signed for it to humor me.

So, I took over the account to cash out the remaining DD's. I charge something small on it every so often. I'm getting close to the $20 needed to get a redemption card, but it's been 2 years or more! She uses a card that gives her much better rewards so wasn't interested in babysitting this card. Meaning I was keeping mine afloat plus hers! And I was putting my spend on much better cards also. I was targeted for the recent promos, but her card wasn't. I would have happily spent the money if she had the promo to get the points at 5x.

I like to have the card at Disney. Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that it may be time to close both cards and later on, if I want to use any of the minor perks, just apply again in a couple of years.
