...in my email. We stayed at Coronado Springs in May on an AP package and it looks like it came from that. Dates are: 8/23-9/4, 9/6-11/21, 11/29-12/5, and 12/13-12/23

It knows I'm an AP holder so I wonder if I can do the AP dining package with this (no ticket, just add on the dining plan). Anyone have any experience with that? Otherwise it would probably just be cheaper for us to pay AP rate with the package.

This is awesome news indeed!!!

A couple of questions. When do you have to book by???? Is it for all resort categories???

Denise

Interesting.....I didn't receive one.

Very odd since I've never received any discount emails from Disney.

TiffanyD,

I booked earlier this year with an AP rate promo of 40% off and was able to add the dining plan on without a problem. I didn't have to buy a 1 day ticket or anything. All you pay for is the daily cost of the plan.

For example - my cost are below:

Coronado Springs Resort Standard View Room (2 queen beds)
2 adults and one infant (she will be 22 months)
Staying for 8 nights - 8/29/09 - 9/06/09

Room cost: $804 ($89 a night w/o tax)
Dining Plan $322 (per person)

Total cost is $1446.78

If I chose to change to the free dining it would cost $1503 because I would have to buy two 1 day tickets. I know it works out to less with the free dining, but I just couldn't justify having to keep up with 2 tickets and didn't want to mess around with any additional tickets.

Book through September 24, 2009

40% off
a Disney stay!

Denise

You must book by 9/24/2009 and it is open for all resorts.

Price for POP! = $49 a night
Price for CSR = $89 a night
Price for AKL = $144 a night

tifany - thanks for the info!!!! Then it looks like we could actually use it! (I know it seems weird we want the DDP so much but we're looking at a 1-2 night stay and doing the deluxe plan - so it's big savings)

I just got it too.... we are already booked on a different 40% pin code that we received earlier in the year. The dates are more inclusive in the fall than the first time we received it though...

Wow thanks everyone... I got this PIN in the mail today and came over here looking for what the savings would be. This is turning me away from free dining packages, as I didn't really want to have to deal with the ticket upgrade process either.

I priced it as $644 for 3 nights in std view POR, so yeah, it would be about $80/night... hmm.

I know the dining plan gets a bad rep but for us 2 food-loving adults it really does come out cheaper than ala carte, and we have done it both ways to compare.

I am also interested in if you can use this PIN twice. I would like to book a single night in Sept, and then a few nights in October.

You sound just like us! haha. I want to book a single night in Sept and a single night in Dec.

I am guessing the email is from Disney Destinations????

I have gotten several pin codes via snail mail but never through email. I am hoping this will be my first. :) I see a few of you are in FL. I am hoping this email finds its way across the border into GA. :thumbsup2

Denise

I'm confused; was this an email or something in the mail?

Also, is this something you received because you were there the same time last year?

Here's to hoping...

wow My bride to be also just got the 40 % code. and we are both ap holders. like previous posters have mentioned the email seems to be targeted at ap holders.

"As a Passholder, you’ll find special events taking place during every one of these four magical times! And because you can come and go as you please, these times are when you could enjoy the Disney experience the most"

Yeah we did too.

We bought DVC a few months ago, and NOW I get a *#%* pin code. :headache:

This was an email distribution. I got it both at the email I used to buy the AP, and the email I have registered for my AP (yeah, they're different).

I think this is targeted at AP holders as it was cleared stated as a Passholder thing, in the email. Although it could be Southeast region, or people who have gone in the fall before, though?

We usually go in Sept/Oct, although I have also booked Nov and Dec before. As DVC members we usually use the AP rates for weekend nights.

We have a DVC trip booked for September, and are trying to decide whether we want to add three nights to the beginning, or just do the one night and then book three nights or so during F&W (as we are out of points!!).

I got two as well - one to each email address.:banana::banana:

Now to try and figure out what season the end of October is...

I also got the email and I'm in CA (I do have an AP). I usually go for a trip in early Sept, and I have one booked for Sept. '09 (bounceback free dining), I'm not 100% sure that I am going to be able to go this year, but if I do, I will probably cancel that reservation to use the 40% code.

You know, I didn't look at the details the first time. I re-looked and it is a passholder email. It is from Disney Destinations and titled 40% a Disney Stay!
