... settled and are officially official!

The only problem I have is that I found out by searching through Orange County Comptrollers office and have not been informed by my guide.

I'll give him (Marc ********) the benefit of doubt and see if he comes through in the next few days. I haven't heard from him since we sent in our deposit and paperwork. Just a call would be nice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just used to being pampered by sales people, particularly real estate people. It's my belief that the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT, NO MATTER WHAT!

Anyhow, we're in and looking forward to going home for the first time in August.:hyper:

Congratulations on being officially official. Not sure if your guide will call you or not but you will get a letter from disney stating that the closing took place. I honestly can't remember my guide calling after the closing.

I read on a post a few weeks ago that their guide phoned them upon settlement.

Maybe some guides just go the extra step on their own.

P.S. Mr. Jim Lewis... take notice, it's the little things that mean a lot.:hyper:

Welcome Home!

We looked for the deed on line because of these boards, our guide didn't call to say that it happened either.

Well, it'd been many years since we purchased, but no, our guide didn't call to confirm closing. We received a letter from Disney to confirm closing.

When we became DVC members in 1994, we only found out when the paperwork came back. I don't remember getting that "Welcome Home" call on our room voicemail our first time home that I've seen others talk about. Since that time, we've changed guides several times. Our current guide, Mike, is the greatest. He tolerated more questions from DW & me when we were down there, staying offsite, last spring than anyone should ever have to!

CONGRATULATIONS & wELCOME HOME!
Our guide did not call either time we purchased. I think they are more interested in the sales than the outcome!

Our guide phoned us to let us know that our paperwork and financing was approved from disney... Not more than 24hours later we received our letters saying that exact same stuff.

She (our guide) asked if we were ready to make ressies, if not to call her before we do and she will take our hand and walk us through the process the first time. She also stated that in about a month we would get the Deed in the Mail from orange county.

On our paperwork, our closing date is scheduled for July 7th and since our first trip isn't until 9/03/05 I am going to relax and save up some needed cash ;)

So our guide confirmed our approval, I am not sure if she will call about closing, but she already explained it to us the last phone call.

Thanks Megan!
