I hope that your friend finds some comfort in knowing that in his final weeks, he celebrated one of the happiest days of his life.... his wedding day to the woman he loved. Although their future together was cut short, he was at least happy and content.

I just can't figure out why stuff like this has to happen. So awful, so tragic, so sad.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend, and for the bride.

Unbelievably, the same thing happened to the daughter of someone DH works with. Her new husband suddenly died of a heart attack not long after they were married. He was also very young.

It is so hard to wrap one's mind around what this must be like.
