Hi Everyone! I am so nervous right now!

I am 37 and just got the shocking news that I am PREGNANT!

I would love to be excited as I have wanted another child for many years.

I have a 14 and 11 year old, but I have also had 3 miscarriages. They were around 6 to 7 years ago, but I have not been pregnant since (until now) in 4 1/2 years!

Therefore, I am really really nervous and scared. I would love to be able to carry this baby.

Has anyone else ever had multiple miscarriages and then gone on to have a normal pregnancy? I had an HCG blood pregnancy test today and my level was 170. I don't know if that is good or not!

If anyone has any input or suggestion, or even just prayers, I certainly could use it right now!

Thank you!

Yes, I had 6 miscarriages and went on to have a beautiful baby boy. Congratulations and try not to worry.

CONGRATULATIONS

Oh, I hope everything goes smoothly. I'm sending prayers and PD your way.

Congratulations! Try not to worry. Relax and I'll pray that all goes well this time.

My mother had my sister, 5 miscarriages, then my sister and I came 11 months apart! :earseek:

Prayers for a healthy pregnancy for you Chip126! God bless you and your family!

Congratulations!!

Prayers and good thoughts to you! Try not to worry too much.

I have not been what you have been through. It did takes us a while to get pregnant with our second child. There is an 8 year difference between my oldest and next child. Then we got another surprise three years later! Yep...I was 34 when I had my last one.

A friend of mine at work just found out she is pregnant with her third child. Her sons are 12 and 9.
She is worried that something will go wrong. We just keep telling her to take it one day at a time.

Sending PD and Prayers your way. I hope your pregnancy goes smooth and the delivery quick and painless! :sunny:

Best wishes on your new little one.

Have DS's 33 & 32, then 2 miscarriages and DS 19 andDD 17. Prayers and PD coming your way!!

Kim,
I will be praying for you. And I am sending you lots of pixie dust. Do as they say above and try to relax. Try not to worry too much. I know that is hard. Remember you have lots of friends praying for you, and try to let that calm you.

Wish there was more I could do or say.

Tricia

I had my second child when I was 35, after 2 miscarriages.

The way I got through the pregnancy was by knowing that I was going to the doctor, following his advice, and the rest was out of my hands. What will be, will be.

Prayers that you will have a healthy pregnancy with a healthy baby in nine monthes.

Two miscarriages and a Molar Preganancy later and I have a baby boy on the way :) Make sure they test your progestrone level as well as HCG. I had to have Progestrone shots and I suspect that was the cause of my earlier losses.

You are in my thoughts

First Congratulations. Yes, I had 6 miscarriages and a tubal. I now have DS and a DD. They are 6 1/2 years apart. It took me 10 years to have my first.

Not sure about the score on your test. But I, too, took progesterone. It can not hurt your baby!!! But once they put me on this, I did not have another miscarriage. BTW, I was 38 when my DD was born. Good luck and prayers are sent your way.:D

Madonna was 37 having her FIRST!
Look after yourself and enjoy this pregnancy.
Wish you well.

We had one (DD wil be 16 in two weeks), then multiple miscarriages and 2 second trimester losses. Next DD12 was high risk. After that doctor said I'd never carry to term again, much less get pregnant. We weren't careful (what was there to be careful about!)....4 years later DS8 arrived. Thought he was miracle baby, but wait- you CAN get pregnant while nursing even if you aren't SUPPOSED to be able to conceive at all. Youngest DD is now 6- I was 38 when she was born! The 10 year age span wasn't planned- but hey, who you gonna get rid of (JUST kidding!)? I can't believe I am almost 44 years old and have a one in kindergarten and another getting her license, but it works and we all love each other (at least when everyone is asleep!).

Good luck, and will keep you in our prayers. The nice thing about the age span is the older can really help with the younger....and they get along better, in a way. Take it easy, though. You need to rest up for those toddler years!

That's wonderful, Kim!!!!! :bounce: What great news! Wow, we are goingto need a DIS CB nursery pretty soon with all these little DIS'ers running around, prolific bunch we are!!!!!!! :jumping1:

My very best wishes, Kim, for a safe, comfortable pregnancy.

What a blessing for you Kim! My SIL (also named Kim!) had a DS, then three miscarriages, and then had her DD. Good luck to you!

Congratulations! Lots of people have multiple miscarriages and go on to have healthy pregnancies. I am in a similar situation as you, only I am 41 years old and expecting. My kids are 19 & 9. I am almost 13 weeks, and very nervous, we still have not told anyone yet, waiting till after amnio in a few weeks. God bless you dear, and good luck. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby. As far as your bloodwork goes, the important thing is not necessarily how high the numbers are, but that they double every couple of days. There is a huge range of what is considered normal, at least that is my understanding. To me,The numbers sound good, it sounds like you are off to a good strong start!
