Just for fun, showing how crappy 1 bed value is in DVC

Ive never seen a bounce back offer in all my stays. Am I not looking in the right places?

You just call the number on your in-room phone. I think it's 844. I'm not sure what it is. I don't think I get emails for bounceback offers, maybe they don't send them or maybe I've told them I don't want them to send them somewhere.

I dont really have down time on my trips to be making calls about the next vacation. Odd way to do it.

Ive just never thought to do it since I assumed DVC did not qualify. And when I stayed cash we didn't visit enough to even bother.

No we do qualify, but since I own DVC I'm not interested in booking cash stays anymore. I would have considered it early in my DVC journey but I have plenty of points now.

I subscribe to the “sunk cost” philosophy. Much less time consuming. 🤣
It brings me joy. When I saw $49pp for BLT I was so happy! Imagine how happy I was when I saw the cash price form my Aulani GV stay, mind blowing! While the PPP there wasn't as high, knowing I was only using my points for a $17,000 hotel bill was :cloud9:

Oh and I love seeing my % paid go down. I am one small trip away from my CCV being break even. Cant wait to post that. Im sure all the naysayers will come out of the woodwork but its pretty amazing having owned it less than 2 years.
I thinks I inherently know that I’m spending a fortune more at Disney than I would other wise spend (taking family members to an Aulani GV…. not a chance on cash!) and don’t want to have to go through the analysis that my brain would eventually want to calculate….

Thanks! I think I might be able to use this in December. I assume you can book a vacation on any of the available 2026 dates during or immediately after your first 2026 trip?
No clue. I only got as far as book within 7 days of your stay. I will check after our Feb trip though. If I can score a deal at one of the values I might use for one night in April.

we are the same. Vacations aren't about saving money or doing it the cheapest, it's about staying how we are comfortable. We love one bedrooms because I get up early and can enjoy my coffee without disturbing my husband. That alone is worth it.

edit: I guess we are kind of cheap, we own and stay at SSR, yes it's cheap but it's also quiet.

And here I am waking my husband up to either make the coffee or go get the coffee.

I’m a handful.
