Just Engaged, why not celebrate in Disney?

Sunday May 29: Day 4

So, on this day we will be waking up around 7ish again in order to make it to the bus stop around 8-8:15 because we are heading to Epcot! Epcot is our favorite park. We could spend two or three days just in this park exploring everything. It is open from 9am-9pm this day.

We hope to be to the park by 8:30 and wait for the gates to open. Let me back track just a litttel here, last year we were at Disney over easter, which was around spring break time as well. So there were tons of EMHs. This time not as much. But anyways, last year the let people in about a half an hour earlier than the EMH. We got to ride Soarin' about 5 times in a row then ran over to Test Track before the park even opened. It was great! I know we probably won't be that lucky this year, but hey I can always hope.

Ok, back to where I was...oh yes, Rope Drop at Epcot. When the rope does drop, we will head to Soarin' first and ride it a few times then grab a fastpass for it as well. We then will head over to Test Track. If the stand by line has a long wait then we will wait in the single rider line. We do not care if we ride this ride together. It would be nice, but we just want to ride it and do not care who it is with. We always end up close to each other anyways. After a ride or two on Test Track, we will probably ride Spaceship Earth. I don't know what it is about this ride, but we just feel like it is a must do since it is in the big ball. We will then probably head back to the Land building and ride Living with the Land. This ride always amazes me...the vegetables and fruits are amazing! We will eat lunch arond 11 again. I am trying to decide between Sunshine Seasons or Tangerine Cafe. I guess it depends on what type of mood we are in.

After lunch, we will start the World Showcase. This is our favorite part. Last year we did not really have a lot of time to search each country. Plus, there were so many people that we couldn't really get the feel of it. So, this year we are dedicated a whole afternoon to WS. We always start on the Canada sde and work our way around counterclockwise. I told Brandon that I wanted to try to see some of the performers throughout the WS as well this year and he said that would be great! I also want to stop and get pictures with some of the characters.

Now, when the afternoon heat starts to affect us we may do one of four options...first, we may just go back to the resort for a few hours..second, we may go to Downtown Disney for a few hours...Third, we may explore The Seas with Nemo and friends and the aquarium...or fourth, we may explore Innoventions. Last year we briefly walked through this building and did not really check anything out. Honestly, I though the building and the things in it were for kids...but the more research I did the more I realized it is for people of all ages. So we are going to have to check it out.

Whatever we choose, we have to be back in France by 4:45 for our 5:00 ADR at Chefs de France. This is a restaurant I choose, mostly because of the french onion soup. I also though it would be a different dining experience so we might as well try it. I am hoping to see Remy while I am there because I just think he is soo cute plus I am a chef and have a soft spot for his movie. After dinner, we will just wander around Epcot doing anything we did not do at lunch and ride a few rides if possible. Around 8:30 we are goingt o grab our snacks and a seat for Illuminations. I think last year we sat somewhere near England, but I cannot remember. After Illuminations, we will make our way our of the park. If we are feeling adventurous, we may head to MK for their EMH, but if we are tired we may just head to bed.

Up Next...Day 5..and the park is...

So, I got my Disney Photopass card in the mail yesterday! It made me super excitied! Plus, I was checking park hours for the week we will be there and DHS will be open until midnight the day we are there! That means an extra 3 hours for us plus 2 Fantasmic showings! That works out great for us! Ok, now on to the PTR...

Monday May 30 (Memorial Day), Day 5:

Our day 5 park is going to be Animal Kingdom. I feel that this park will probably not be that busy on this day. I figured that if people are going to be coming down to Disney that weekend and just for the weekend, they probably aren't going to be going to that park, but we will see. This day AK has EMH from 8am-9am. So we of course are going to take advantage of that. We will be getting up around 6:00 this morning, probably take our breakfast with us, and head to the bus stop by 7:15-7:30.

Once the ropes drop, we will head to the Safari ride. I love this ride. We love animals and we love to see all the animals in this park. The best thing about the safari is that everytime you go on it, you will see some different animals. It is great. After the safari, we will head over to everest. If the lines are still short, we will jump on the ride and then grab fastpasses for afterwards. After everest we will head to dinosaur. Last year, we rode this ride like 10 times. We just love it. So after we ride dinosaur numerous times, we will probably head on a hunt for fastpasses for the shows, if there are any. We want to see Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder. We just love these two shows.

We will eat lunch on this day around 11:30 or 12ish because we have a late ADR this night. We will eat at Flametree BBQ. This is really the only counterservice we like in AK. After lunch, we will probably catch some shows, see it's tough to be a bug, walk the different trails. We will probably ride everest a few more times and dinosaur as well. Around 3:15 we will grab a snack and a seat for the parade. I think this parade is so cute. Plus it gives us a chance to sit and relax. The rest of our day from here is jsut kind of doing whatever we want, seeing the characters, whatever we feel like doing. The park is open until 7, but we most likely won't stay the whole time. We will probably leave early in order to rest and change before our ADR.

This night we have a 8:20 ADR at Whispering Canyon. This is DF favorite Disney restaurant. He loves the skillet meal. Last year when they set it in front of him, his eyes grew so wide, he looked like a kid on christmas morning. We like to eat here late on a night when we are not going back to the parks because we are so stuffed afterwards we do not want to walk or ride any rides. So, after we eat here we will roll back to our rooms and into our beds in order to digest and rest for the next day.

Up Next...Day 6...free day #1

Tuesday May 31: Day 6

So, this day is going to be the first of two free days we have planned. To us, free days are days that we do not have a set plan. We just kind of go with the flow on these two days and do whatever we feel like doing. So on this day, we will most likely start at Magic Kingdom because it has EMH this day from 8-9am. We will just hit some of the rides we want to ride again and see anything we missed the first day we were here. We also will also see some characters as well. We most likely will eat lunch at this park as well. It will be a decision between Cosmic Rays or Peco Bills. I think it depends what type of mood we are in and what side of the park we are on. After lunch, we will probably leave this park.

We got our WDW Vouchers booklet in the mail this past weekend and we found vouchers for mini golf. We may try out the mini golf course by Blizzard Beach after we leave MK. I think that it would be some different to do plus we love mini golf. I have never played mini golf at WDW before, so this would be a first for both of us. After mini golf, we may head to the resort or to another park. Also, on this day, Epcot has EMH until midnight so we will probably end up at this resort.

We have a 5:30 ADR at Kona Cafe this night, so we will probably try to stay in parks on the monorail track, so either MK or Epcot. After dinner, we will probably head to Epcot to finish the evening there and ride our favorite rides and wander around the WS. Whatever really floats our boats this night. We will grab a snack and watch a nighttime show, either at MK or Epcot, whatever park we are at.

So as you can tell, our free days do not have much direction or plans in them, we just kind of park hop and ride our must do rides.
