Hi everyone!

We are going to WDW in 5 days  and this will really be the first time that we are celebrating our engagement. (It is also one year to our wedding the day we arrive!!!!) Is there a Just Engaged button that we can get from Guest Services?

Unfortunately they don't have these - and they should, cuz soooo many people get engaged there! I've heard of people wearing the Just Married pins but crossing out the "married" and writing in "engaged" :rotfl:

If you are crafty make your own :)

They should have them though...maybe they will have one next year for the year of celebrations.

We were sad to hear they didn't make "engaged" buttons when we were there (and got engaged!) We did however, see a couple wearing the just married buttons with married crossed out and engaged written in. Clever idea.

It is a shame they dont make these.

We mentioned to the reception staff at SSR that we were planning to marry here in 2010 and they got very excited and gave us 2 Just Married pins... i was confused it didnt say engaged but oh well.... We didnt wear them as i'd prefer all the fuss at the time but i have kept them.

At hoop dee due revue they gave us just married pins and put "Almost Married" since we were getting married on the ship.

Thanks everyone!

I am shocked that they don't make them too.... Especially because so many people get engaged there. DF was shocked when I told him too.

We are getting the Bride and Groom Ears though!

When we were there in April we told the Dream Team that we had just got engaged. They took the buttons and "fixed" them to say Just Engaged, and then threw all this confetti on us. It was really very special :)

We got engaged in Disney and they gave us just married pins and crossed out married and put engaged in it's place. We received alot of pixie dust! :yay:

we were sad they didnt have engaged badges espcially since we got engaged through a disney proposal package and it seemed that every one we saw had just married badges we spoke to one couple and they had been married 18 months that isnt just married i think that takes the spot light off people that have just married at disney that week or have at least with in the 6 months x x x

What if they couldn't afford a honeymoon and this is it, 18 months later? There is no "right" way to celebrate a marriage. My husband left only weeks of us getting married to move across country for his PhD. When he returns we may do a vow renewal or go on a second honeymoon. It will feel like we're "just married" even though we'll have been married for two years because we won't have been together for that time. If we were to return to Disney you can bet your buttons I woud be celebrating!

I wouldn't judge anyone on how or what they choose to celebrate. If you're getting married for the "spot light" you're definitely doing it for the wrong reasons. Other people celebrating won't diminish your celebration, so don't worry about it! :goodvibes

SORRY I should have added they had a honey moon and this was just a trip to disney SORRY i missed that information out i think it takes the shine of the people that have saves to have disneymoon and yes may have had to wait 18 months to be able to afford or be appropiate its the same as the birthday badges i went for my actual birthday and wore my badge for my birthDAY but one man said he has worn it fot the whole holiday for special disney surprises i am all up for getting extra surprises from disney but it just takes away that special significant day away from some one whos birthday it actually is that day that will only be expecting something on that one day not to take disney for guranted isnt it more special when actually is your birthday

We got engaged in Oct at Disney World. The next day we were at HS (MGM) having a photopass picture taken when it came up we were just engaged. She told us to go to guest services and get a pin. I told her I didn't think they had Engagement pins and she said go anyway. We finally made it over later on and the sweet girl congratulated us and then took 2 just married pins and wrote above the just married "soon to be" and wrote Engaged underneath we received lots of congrats. We also wore the bride and groom ears as well. I can't wait to go back for our wedding in 2010. Have a great trip.

We got engaged in Disney on Oct. 29 and here is a pic of our buttons!

I saw someone this week at WDW with a "Just Engaged" button, so they actually have them now.

Yup!
They do have them now as a part of their celebrate every day promo! If you go to MK for example they have a cart right outside of Town hall and they have the full gamut of celebration pins. They have a "Just Engaged" and a "True Love" pin as well!

I just browsed with some friends and we all got generic celebration pins since we hadn't seen each other in a while. We just decided we were celebrating friendship and good times :thumbsup2

They do have them!! We got them when we got engaged a few weeks ago :)

My fiance and are heading to the world in April to show him around where we are getting married and get engagement photos, and we have been engaged for 6 months now. I am wondering if we can or should wear the Just Engaged buttons still? By the time of our trip it will have been a year, so Im not sure! Thanks!
