We are staying at the Grand Resort for 4 nights. If I use the 'Magic Ticket'...I'm sorry, I can't remember what it's called (the room key?) then I can go into the park for MM? Is that correct? We want to go Tuesday next week but I don't want to assume!!

Yep, I recently verified with Disney. If you are staying onsite you will be alowed in early on all the days it is offered. The kind gentlemen said they would explain what you need to show "charge slip" or something at the gate! Have Fun! We'll be there too that morning, can't wait.
PS, the weather just might be nice too....

Thanks so much!! I can't wait!! I'll get all the details when we check in! I keep checking the weather and it goes back and forth with the rain but I'm keepin' my fingers crossed!!

The monorail doesn't start running until the park opens, you will need to go to the main gate.

Just realized you were in Sacto...we're in Folsom :) It was hard paying the 240.00....I seriously don't think I could pay more than that :( Not for lack of funds...it's just ridiculous when I see that 371.00 I can't bring myself to do it!! Hope you have a GREAT trip! With all this rain I'm getting worried about my 22-25 trip?!?!?!?

Grrr so maybe I should just suck it up and pay the extra 200 for the GC!

Why?

The special entrance is to DCA. DCA doesn't take part in MM.

Therefore, the way you'll get into DL is to go through the hotel to the entrance to DTD between Sephora and what used to be Libby Lu. The walk from that entrance to DLH is barely half of DTD. You're not gaining all that much by moving to GCH from DLH. There's still quite a bit of walk between that entrance to DTD and the bag check area.

Whoah whoah let's clarify. The monorail does run during MM, it just leaves the DTD station a little late, so you won't be one of the first ones in the park.

As for paying the extra 200 for the GC there is no way that anything could persuade me to spend an extra 200 bucks a night to be at that place. Especially what you were saying. How does the Monorail have anything to do with the GCH? Nothing. The walk to the DL gates is not that long. Certainly not worth paying 200 bucks to get 500ft closer and still have a walk.

Guys, check out my MM super thread here:

Oh I am just torn....not much, just less of a walk and being IN the park...mission Nemo!!! Thanks for the info..I think we will stick to the DLH this time!

Staying at the GCH won't help, just stay at the DLH. :) And we were told when we stayed at both the PPH and the GCH that the monorail doesn't run during MM hours. We don't do MM so it really doesn't matter for us but we would have just walked had we wanted to. :)

And welcome to another resident of our area, it's nice to see so many of us here. :)

The monorail does run during MM hours, I have been there many times before park opening on days that had MM and have seen monorails with guests on them going into the park. I always here the non-disney resort guests asking about it and I also have always thought it odd that Annual Passholders don't get that perk as well (perhaps on different mornings though to avoid too much of a crowd), last I heard though,if we stay at the resorts we now get MM, but it didn't use to be that way, it used to be that if you had an annual pass for your admission, you couldn't use MM no matter what.
