Just Did Online Check In!!!!

Although I have heard mixed reviews about the online check in process, I decided to try it. I just checked in to VWL. We arrive next Sunday. The only option available for special requests for room location (drop down menu) was
"near transportation". I didn't check it. Didn't seem important enough for us to have it as a special request. There was no area to request a specific floor or view.
We could not check in for the second half of our trip. We are staying a second week at Kidani, but can't check in until next week.
I'll have to report back after the trip to let you know what the pros/cons of online check in are.
But I had to try it!
I have to admit, I got very excited to do it. Makes our trip feel all the more real!:banana::banana::banana:

If you want to have your park admission tickets added to your room keys, can you do that with on-line check-in?

I just checked in online for our stay at the BWV next week and the only options were Ground Floor and Near Transportation. My only request is that we are on an upper floor, so I did not check either box. When I spoke to member services prior to checking in online I was told you can enter which people can have charging privileges and you can write in your room requests. Neither was true. Our room keys will need to be printed again when we arrive. I am sure this is a kink that will be worked out in time, it just does not make sense that every guest would want charging privileges on every card.

I thought "near transportation" seemed strange to me. But I have never stayed at VWL before, so I was wondering how large can it really be. How far will we have to walk? Last summer we stayed in Jambo House and we were just about as far as you could be from the main lobby. I can't imagine the walk being as far as that! I figured I would leave the "near transportation" rooms for someone who has mobility problems.
