Oh boy, I didn't need this. The last few months I've had alot of pain and was worked up and they found a large cyst, with endometriosos. It won't be the easy surgery, laprascopy...it'll be an incisional (like c section) surgery, in January sometime. I'm dreading this, because I just lost 80 lbs this past year and really don't want to stop my gym routine for a month. But the pain is pretty bad. I sure could use your prayers? I'll be going to the surgeon next week to "discuss my surgical options". Thanks guys.

Hey, I hope it all goes well.

Been there, done that. It's really not so bad. You will have to take it easy for a few weeks though, but after a week or so you can probably do some walking, just no lifting.

My sister had endo that caused both of her ovaries to be the size of potatoes! She was in horrible pain so I know what you are going through.

She had a total hysterectomy (age 45). They had to open her up. She's a big exerciser and was used to going to the gym all of the time too.

She healed very quickly. She did quite a bit of walking - which they actually like you to do after surgery. You can't do the weight and machine stuff, but she lost 25 pounds in the months after her surgery.

You will feel SO much better. I'll be thinking about you.

I also had this done for the scar tissue, not a cyst (luckily mine always disolve).

Incision was bikini line and pretty big. I was off work for 6 weeks, I was up and walking after 1 week; but no stairs or driving. No heavy lifting either.

The surgery itself wasn't all that painful and it healed up real nice.

Thanks everyone.

Nancy, thanks for your comments, how long were you in the hospital?

You certainly have mine. My problems all began with horrible endometriosis. Luckily for you they have learned so much in the past 10 years that it shouldn't be as hard for you as it was for me. I eventually had a total hyst but that's not necessary nearly as much any more. You could very well not need it. I'm not a praying person but I'll offer my :wizard: and :goodvibes if that's ok?

:grouphug: :grouphug: Jillpie-- just curious why do you have to have a large incision instead of the laproscopic? I am wondering b/c I go in tues to discuss my "surgical options" for the same thing. I was under the impression the surgery would be laproscopic. I'll be thinking of you and sending :grouphug:

Mainly because my cyst is over 3 inches (its over 4 inches). It really depends on how much room they need to remove it. Best wishes to you and when are you having yours?
