We just decided to do 4 nights at OKW (5 nights at WL first). Help me get excited about it!!

OKW was the first resort I ever saw, because the ME bus happened to stop there first. At the time I thought it looked beautiful, and that definitely influenced our decision to try it out this time around. And with AP rates, it's only about $30 more/night than POFQ!

We're getting a studio - is there anything I need to request? Are balconies standard on studios there? Can any one recommend a good building near the pool and restaurant? Since there's no food court, what's the closest store to pick up breakfast foods?

Also, I'd love to see pics of studio rooms if anyone has some to share!

Thanks in advance and I apologize for all the questions. This was a last minute thing so I'm still figuring it all out. :goodvibes

studios are my favorite!!!

all studios at OKW have balconies.

building 11-14, 62-64, 23-26 are all pretty close to HH.

the general store (gift shop) has some grocery items - but boy it is expensive.

all the pools have a laundry mat - to use the machine is free - but the detergent is expensive.

Try and request an upper floor studio (if steps aren't a concern). The views tend to be a little better. The ground floor balconies with the studios tend to be a little blocked by brush and trees. Sometimes blocks the view.

You'll love the mini kitchenette.

Also, for quick breakfast items, in addition to the general store (which I agree....they're all expensive in WDW) at OKW, try Goods To Go on the boardwalk area (around the corner from Olivia's and near the main pool) :

Goods is open at 7:30 am.
Have a great stay :thumbsup2
