I'm just curious about something because a friend of mine asked me about it.

We're staying at HRH and can't wait to try out FOTL access. Do people in the regular line get upset or glare at the people in the Express line? Inquiring minds want to know.

TEE HEE Just kidding!! I'm sure they aren't thrilled but they also could have FOTL by using Express Pass. Don't worry about it, just enjoy your vacation and look the other way!!

The only time we got dirty looks was at MIB, and that's only because we were lazy. There was ****NO ONE**** in the Express Line at all, so instead of winding our way through the queue, we just ducked under the railings to get to the attendant to show our room keys and walk down the stairs to the very beginning of the Express Line. I think people thought we were cutting, but there was no one in front of us in the Express Line to cut!

:D

The FOTL queue is the same queue that you use if you get the free express passes from the machines. People have no idea if you are a hotel guest or if you are using the free express that is available to everyone. If they glare, they are uninformed or jealous.

It is amazing to me how many people have told me they didn't use the Express system because they "didn't think they were allowed", or "they thought it cost extra money to get those tickets from those machines". Those are probably the only people you will get looks from, the kind that are too slow to read the information on the park maps about Express.
These are the same people who will glare at you at the supermarket when you are buying steak and they only have hamburger.

I remember getting a few glares when we rode Spiderman a few consecutive times and continued to pass the same people in the regular lines. I began to feel a little guilty, so we moved on and came back for more later. ;)

That's exactly the scenario I was thinking about. Again, I'm not worried about it, I was just wondering. I'm also surprised at how many people don't know that Universal has this system for on site hotel guests. I have a cousin that was planning on going for the first time and was going to choose something off site and she had no idea they offered the FOTL perk. Thank goodness I ran across this forum, otherwise, I'd be staying across the street and kicking myself in the you-know-what.

Who cares if they glare at you.

The only lines that merge in with the regular line are Rip Saw Falls and Popeye. Otherwise you're in a seperate line up to the ride. Popeye is the worst because the door opens, and the people have to literally cut in front of others.

When I go in June, I'm riding the Mummy 5 times commando style, and won't worry about anyone glaring at me.

They really should have an attendant standing at the Popeye express entrance. People do get peeved when you cut in front of them. They should really make a different line there.

Agree. They need to widen the final walkway to Popeye so there can be a regular and express line. And put up a wall between the two lines so no one can even see the express people. It doesn't have to be a thick wall, just a divider so the people on the other side can't see thru.

I must admit I love 'lapping' people on Spiderman. Often we can ride 4 or 5 times before the regular line gets thru. <evil grin>

Oh boy, my boys are going to love that!:teeth:

We stayed at HRH at our time at Universal. Wonderful walk, only takes about 5mins at the most. The hotel wasn't the greatest, we were on floor 7 because of all the food and stuff, and it's a hassle getting everyone out for breakfast on time. The was cool, and the walk is wonderful. The hotel room and hallway carpets were dirty though, stains all over, and they had to clean our carpet, and no windows to make the cleaning smell leave.

The express pass is awesome and definatly worth it, when rides can get up into the hours. The downside of it is that the people don't do a good job checking them and a lot of people just jump over railing, because some only get checked at the bottom. Some rides we encountered had scanners, but only about 5 at the most. We had an extra member that wasn't supposed to be in the hotel, and therefore didn't have a card, but no one noticed.

They are a big help, and I would recommend getting one any way you can, as it's funner to ride rides atleast twice while others just stand there.

We thought that they were glaring at us, but who cares. We payed for the privilege and were going to use it. I did feel sorry for those waiting in the regular lines, but too bad for them.

We didn't get looks from anyone really, most people(and I emphasis the MOST many times) are good about it.

To think about it, there were quite a few people in the express lines there were quite rude to us, even though we were in the same line. This one lady shoved my friend aside because he couldn't move over fast enough for her to get by us because her son was running ahead and cutting others. Gave us foul looks the whole rest of the time in line.

It only bothers me when its the employees who seem to show resentment towards u as already mentioned its a privledge which u pay for so enjoy it:jester:

I have to agree, if they glare which some do, oh well. They have the same option of staying on site but didn't, so to each his own I say. I will ride Spiderman and Hulk over and over, with my privelege!
