Just curious.. How many times did you say "I love you" to anyone today?

Dream how true that is....It is incredible what how those three words can affect someone. Or how a compliment can turn someone's day completely around. Those words were not siad often in my family as a kid...I say it to my kids every second I get, as often as possible. I try and tell those people I luv that I do love them, whether they want to hear it or not...lol. I think it is important...but you are right...to have someone say them to you...atleast it always brightens MY day!!

Several times a day to my DD!

Once a week to my mother who lives on the west coast!

Whenever I am holding DDs, which is often, and before bedtime. I don't see them till I get home from work, so I don't get to tell them I Love You until I see them in the afternoon. If I do talk to them on the phone I tell them then.

DH, I only see once a day. I tell him then. I also tell him I Love You when we IM each other and talk on the phone.

Althought I feel it in my heart, I've never been the kind of person who puts it into words on a daily basis.

Thought I have to say when I'm with my grandchildren I tell them I need something, they roll their eyes and know I need a hug, while I'm getting the hug I tell them how much I love them.

Another lovey family here. DH and I never hang up the phone without saying it and we say it in person probably 4 or 5 times a day. I tell all my family members I love them, every single time I talk to them.
Those were the very last words I heard from both my grandfather and grandmother, so their importance was etched in my mind at an early age.

Since it's only 7:45 or so I would say I have said it twice this morning, both to DH.

We say it to eachother every time we talk on the phone and email. We also say it a lot when we are together when the mood strikes.

It's something I never get tired of hearing! In fact, I think I should send DH a little ecard to tell him I love him :)

DH and I tell each other several times a day. We also send e-cards to each other a couple times a week and sign them "Love,".

Every time I go to hang up after talking to DS, DIL, DGS and DGD.:D :D

7 times...

3 to DH, when I saw him (barely) at 5:30 heading to the gym, when he came home and when I left for work

2 to DD when she got up for school and when I dropped her off

2 to DS same as DD

We say, "I love you" constantly in our house.

My favorite thing to say to our kids, though, is "out of all of the kids, in all of the world, how did we get so lucky to find you?" (We adopted them.)

I've said this so much that my DS sometimes asks me the same thing about us, and asks me all the time to tell him why we picked them out of all of the other kids.

It's fun to say "i love you" to your teenager when they are being a pain.
usually in the context of "mom I need this or that and why can't I, or you just don't understand."
I yell back, "Oh yeah! Well I love you too!!!"
It gets her every time. :D

We say it a lot too. I guess that makes us a lovey family. :) I'm a big believer in saying the obvious. My dad's family isn't vocal about their love for one another. Usually when I tell my dad I love him he says, "you too." Gosh, I know he loves me but I hate that!

I say it a lot - to my mom, dad, baby sis, kitty, best friend, etc. I don't know how many times I have said it today, but I always say it a lot, usually every time I see someone that I love.
