Just curious...How many Holiday Cards do you send? :upsidedow

I send out between 75-100 but most all of them are to older people and shut- ins at our church, in our families to neighboors etc.. i get the cheaper ones and send a lot. I get SO many thank-yous and I had no idea how much these simple cards mean to people that do no get out much. i have also started sending cards for other hollidays like halloween and thanksgiving. We have lots of friends in our age group (40's) that have never sent out Christmas cards at all. When DS was younger it was always picture cards of some type but we have not done that in a while.

We send out between 75-100. We also use picture cards.

I also send about 80-90 photo cards. A big chunk of that is to DH's extended family. Both his parents have passed away, so I feel it's up to him (and by that I mean ME :rotfl: ) to give them a yearly update on our part of the family. Plus, I love showing off my beautiful girls. princess:

I also occasionally do send photo cards for other holidays (just did Halloween ones), but I limit those to about 20 for close relatives and good friends who live out of town.

We send 100-125 and we started a tradition with the picture cards and now everyone wants them!

We send around 140, give or take.

I know it sounds like a lot, but my husband and I both come from fairly large families, and have moved around a lot, making wonderful friends in many places.

We also do the photo cards - saves us so much money! :-)

40-50 cards. We've always done photo cards so we can show off our kids. Last year was the first year that we had a message preprinted on the cards instead of writing each person an individual message. Felt a little less personal, but sure saved a ton of time!
:santa:

We just ordered 100 picture cards....and I also bought a box of 20 inexpensive regular cards to use with gifts for my secretary, hairdresser, etc.

Now, my question....if you are doing picture cards, where do you get them and how much do you pay for them?

This year, ours worked out to about .75 per card for 4 X 6 cards with a triple picture layout and a personalized imprint of our name and 2007.....last year we got cheaper picture cards from Wal-Mart for about .25 a card.

I started sending out Happy New Year cards last year and intend to keep doing it. I always had good intentions of getting the Christmas cards out early (we do the picture cards also) and I'd alsways be doing them 3 days before Christmas...it just got too stressful so I decided to do it for the New Year. no stress because I'm not even worrying about Christmas cards.

75-100

We have always sent a Christmas letter & photo (.16 cents? at Sam's Club). This year, our Christmas portrait was so good, that for the first time, we're sending a photo card of all 4 of us (me, DH, 2 boys). Had to have it printed at the photography studio (.75 cents) ... but figured after all these years, people might like seeing what mom & dad look like. Some probably have only seen us a few times since our wedding, 17 years ago.

Everyone always RAVES over our letter, but so few reciprocate. They're "so busy" they can't get anything out (even a card?). Tee hee, that's why we fluctuate between 75-100 -- some years, it's just time to pare down the list.
:rotfl2:

I just ordered 175 cards yesterday. Good deal (picture cards through Shutterfly all for $67 shipped right to my door.)

Seems like we increase by about 10% each year.

Crazy.....but fun!

This is what my mom has done the last couple years. She was getting too busy/stressed out to do cards, then she'd feel guilty that she didn't get them done. Now she spends the week after Christmas (she's a teacher, so she's off work) to write 1-2 letters to family per day. Works for her!
