I have some clothes that I only wear on vacation, so those get washed and repacked right after a trip. At about a month out, I check expiration dates on the meds and sunscreen in the suitcase in case anything needs to be replaced. A couple days before, I pack any lingerie, socks, and other personal items, and then the night before, the cases are all ready to go in the car - with the exception of one carry on that takes any valuables, meltables, etc., that I take out with me when I leave. So I'm sort of in a stage of perpetual packed-ness (is that a word?), but I also travel fairly often, so it's not like clothes sit in the suitcase for a year. I think the longest they are in there is a couple months during the summer when it's too hot for me to think of being outside much.
