ok, first off, i'm glad they are dead, BUT, here's my questions....


Wasn't this war started over the fact that Iraq had tons of WMD (weapons of mass destruction)?

Didn't Saddam destroy what little WMD he did have?

Has the military even found anything CLOSELY RESEMBLING a WMD?

Now don't get upset, I'm glad there's some house cleaning going on over there, but do you think this is just b/c W's dad went the first time & couldn't finish the job, or do you think it's an "honest attempt" for W to do his own thing?

JoNo, I personally think this war has been mostly over oil. DH agrees, but also adds that he thinks Dubya has/had a vendeta against Saddam because he tried to assassinate George Sr. on a trip to Kuwait once. Now, I missed that report. But maybe it's true. Anyway, thank God we live in a country where we can actually freely say that!

I saw part of that History Channel show. How ironic that it was on last night, and today this happens. And they are seven hours ahead of EST, so it could have been starting at the same time! (Insert Twilight Zone music here.)

Yes, they were both guilty of so many atrocities. Especially the older one, Odai. At least he flaunted it, which I think makes it even sicker.

I don't think this has anything to do with playing "catch up" for our president, nor do I believe he made these choices over oil. Saddam and his sons have commited so many atrocities towards his people, it's about time somebody made a choice to go in there and clean house. What those 3 people have done to their own people and that country is heinous. They got what they deserved, too bad it had to end quickly in a gun battle. More appropriate would be to die a slow painful death for all they have put their country people through.

As far as WMD, I do believe there are WMD in Iraq and I also believe they will be found.

Hooray for the citizens of Iraq.

No... It was because Saddam refused to comply with any number of UNSC resolutions relating to WMD.

Yes. Plus miles of documents that are being poured over that detailed such programs and contained instructions on how to hide stuff and give the UN inspectors the run-around.
