Just closed!!!! When can I call MA to ask for my member #

hi all.. just like everyone else who just made it through.. i'm so excited to book for next Spring... but i was informed and also been reading here that I have to wait for the DVD to mail my documents..

I've read some posts prior that one may get " lucky" and can call Member Accounting??? whatever MA stands for.. and be able to find out their member # so we can begin to book.. I"m so anxious... should i just wait?? or can i try and call and when?? 1 week 2weeks. we just closed today - got the email from TSS..

Any thoughts from all you veterans.. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::
 
Give them a week or a little more after closing. Member administration (MA) should have your number at that point. Congrats on your purchase. It was one of the very few purchases that we had never regretted.
 
I would call and make sure they received your closing documents and deed. Just to be sure. Dont forget to take the name of who you talked to.
 

Wait....If you have the time. Meaning, if you are not within the 11 or 7 month mark of an upcoming trip. When we closed last February, we were within the 11 month booking mark of the trip we just took. I was VERY antsy about getting in the system to make a reservation. I called twice a day, once in the morning, and once closer to closing time to check. The day I was loaded into the system I didn't have points loaded yet, but I was able to set up the online process so that I could check on my own when the points were added. The very next day they were loaded and I was able to make a reservation.

So if there is no hurry other than you want it now and can't wait.......well, wait. Calling twice a day was annoying. But if you are in a hurry to make a reservation, then call twice a day. I know it helped that I had the closing date and the old owners name.
