Finally closed on our 1st DVC purchase - a 100 point resale at BWV!
Since we're now members, I feel I can remark on some topics/questions which are frequently posted on this board (especially by those thinking of buying through resale):
1) Why only 100 points? That's a good question. Although we've wanted to join for some time, I had to convicnce myself and DW that DVC was "worth it" and thought that this was a good introduction. Depending on time/room/standard v. preferred, we figured we could squeeze 4-5 night stays yearly, or with banking/borrowing, longer stays.
2) Why BWV as home resort? Recently stayed at YC and enjoyed the proximity to Epcot, MGM, and all of the restaurants/activities on the BW. Since we learned "buy where you want to stay the most," BWV was it.
3) Did the resale go smoothly? Yes. Bought through the Pat at the TSS, and that went fine - although the process took a little longer than I expected (some of that due to fact the seller was not in the US). Had also discussed a possible purchase through Shontell, and she was great to deal with as well. Only went with the TSS b/c the 100 BWV points suited our needs. I'd recommend either to anyone thinking of a resale purchase.
Anyway, glad to be aboard!
