just checking again... first few weeks of Dec most popular for DVC members?

well i did a poll a while back about when the most popular times to travel for DVC members is... the results were pretty much the first 2 weeks of Dec and Oct/Nov for Food & Wine.
anyway, i just thought i would check again specifically about the month of December.

is it just only Adventure Season Dec 1st - 14th that's extremely popular?

what about the week that's Choice Season right before Xmas: Dec 15th - 23rd?

am i right in thinking that the closer you get to Xmas Day, the less booked the rooms might be?
'cause DVC members "clear out" before Xmas Day otherwise you're stuck dealing w/ the most crowded time of the year at WDW?

or is this just wishful thinking. (yeah, obviously i'm hoping to go Xmas week )

Xmas week is busy, that's why it's more points.

Adventure Season in December books FAST because of the lower points.

The 15th-23rd may be easier to get, but still not that easy I would think.

You gotta plan ahead if this is when you want to go.

I just got the Sunday and Monday before Christmas yesterday for a studio at BCV. And yes, we will be clearing out to get home in time for Christmas Eve.

I just booked a studio the 6-16th and a 2 BR 8-16 and I am waitlisted for the 6th and 7th - All at the BCV

On the 6th and 7th are you waitlisted for a studio at BCV? Just wondering because I called last week to add those 2 nites to my ressie at BCV, and it was available at that time. Just goes to show how quickly things change! And also, how high you are on the waitlist! I have to wait til the 7 month mark then I'm going on the waitlist for a Standard view studio at BWV. Since it was already full last week, I'm sure that by the time I get on the waitlist, it will be long.

We will be at the BCV November 30 to December 6 in a studio. Only 7 more months...YIPEE!!!

Having spent Christmas/NYE at OKW on three different occassions, I can assure you that it's full during that time.

LOL so it looks like the whole entire month of Dec is just impossible to book in general, huh? oh well.

We have enjoyed early Dec the most so far. Before we joined DVC we went that time of year. Biggest downfall....unpredictable weather, warm one day, cold the next. Florida aint spose to git cold!!

I have booked early December several times even late. You do have to be flexible. Usually OKW is easiest to get on late bookings.

I would not try to do XMAS late however!

DVC is busy all December especially Christmas Week. The good part of DEcember is that the rest of the world does not come to WDW until Christmas Week. December is a great time to go to get on the rides with the exception of Christmas Week when you have wall to wall people.

We are also waitlisted for the first night of our trip. I didn't know you could find out where you are on the waitlist. How do you do this? We are waiting to buy our air until we know. How soon do you usually find out if you got your room. This is the first time we had to be waitlisted.
