And all I can say is WOW!! :earseek:

I'm in a deluxe poolview (and when I say poolview I mean POOLview) ... it is breathtaking!

Partyof6 I'm in right where you told me to be! :p

Beautiful room but I need a LADDER to get into the beds! Barry and I have reservations for Tchoup Chop tomorrow so expect a review shortly afterwards. I have to drag my child screaming from Mythos but we have to try something else!

Did Universal and Lombards landing today, loved the food, hated the service. Jerk!

Too tired to go on. I'll be back tomorrow!

Oh Robin I'm so glad you liked my suggestion. It's a wonderful room is'nt it. And the view is well it's a true pool view girly. Are you enjoying that breeze off the balcony yet? We love to leave the door cracked at night you can hear the water falls from the hot tubs down below it's so soothing. All i ask is leave it like you found it girl i just made my ressie's for August! Have a safe and wonderful trip and tell micheal hi from the woodards and ms. littljohn too of course.

So which resort do you prefer now, now that you have stayed at all three resorts? I hope you're enjoying your stay there. Plz keep us posted! :)

I'll be there in August. Would love to hear all about the hotel! Since you have stayed at all 3 which do you perfer. What room are you in? We got a deluxe room for $180 and I'd love to have your room or one near by.

What's the pool like? Restaurants service? If you walked to any of the parks how long was it?

OK I guess I should just wait for your trip report.

I'm so excited for you!

Have a great trip Robin! I'm so jealous:cool:

Have fun Robin! Wish I was there:)

Hi Party of Six, I will be at Portofino next Sunday, 6/8, and have a deluxe poolview reserved. Which room is it that I should ask for to have that beautiful view? Thanks for your help.

I just slept like a bug in a rug...

We went downstairs for a while to enjoy the hotel at night. I don't think I've ever seen anything so beautiful. When we came back housekeeping was opening our room. She told me it was "turn down" service.... well, excuuuuuuuse me. The chocolates were nice, too! :p

Tammy, we don't have a balcony, unfortunately, we're in the area you suggested but the two rooms I requested were taken. They offered me a parlor but it has no beds, just a pull out. The hotel is jammed and we checked in with hundreds of people so I knew my chances of an upgrade on a Saturday in the summer were limited.

They did get us into a room across the hall and it is beautiful. The bathroom is just HUGE! I took a thousand pictures so I will have lots to download.

Everyone, to pick a favorite would be difficult. They're all so different and so much alike. I've got to be here a little longer to see so I'll let you all know when I get back.

Haven't been to the pool yet but the two I've seen are the most beautiful I've ever laid eyes on.

Getting ready for the park! IOA today! With FOTL it'll be a blast!

I can tell you guys i knew Robin would be back at PBH.LOL During our christmas holiday last year we met up with robin and her son and i took her for the grand tour of the grounds. To say she was impressed was an understatement.LOL I see it did'nt take her long to get back. She toured our Villa room and was having a ball and was so impressed with it. To answer some questions asked. The resturants are the best on property for price and atmosphere in my opinon. Mama Della's is a must and yes i suggest ressie's be made thru hotel concierge a few days before arrival if it's a non holiday visit. The service is bar none. They are there to please you and everyone from the valet to checkout that you come in contact with services up first class service with a smile. The rooms are very comfortable and you will won't to pack the bed and linens up to bring home with you. (see concierge they can give you contact purcahse info.LOL):) Okay the room rooms in i'm not sure what she got. I know she got a great room if she was near where i suggested. I would make a pool view request with a balcony and you'll be thrilled at what you get.

Wow, Robinrs. I checked in Friday night. We were in 2538 - were we close to being roomies?

On a sad note, as it hasn't been mentioned in this thread, someone made a fool of themself late Saturday night and managed to set off the fire alarm at....oh, four in the morning. Apparently they thought the fourth floor hallway would look better if they sprayed it with a fire extinguisher. In the process, they set off the alarm that went off for a good twenty minutes (maybe it was just the villas portion of the resort, I don't know).

A lot of unhappy campers that night, though it, of course, was not the fault of management. Stupid (or drunk) people will do whatever makes them happy. Unfortunately, I don't believe they caught the people who did it.

I am so glad you got a Deluxe Pool View. We did also on our past trip. Any Deluxe Room will leave your jaw dropping when you enter. I miss that bathroom!!! We had two connecting Deluxe Villa Rooms and the location was wonderful. Don't forget Sal's Deli. It is great!

You didn't ask me, but I've stayed in all three so I thought I'd offer my 2 cents ... overall I prefer the HRH, primarily because of it's location (5 minute walk to City Walk/Parks). The PBH is by far a nicer hotel, and if I wasn't planning on going to the parks every day, I'd probably stay there instead (since getting to the parks would be less of an issue). The RPR is nice too, and as long as it is less expensive than the HRH and PBH, you can't go wrong with it, but it just doesn't have some of the inherent advantages of the HRH (location) and PBH (luxury). I do think that Jake's American Bar at the RPR is the best place for drinks in Universal in terms of atmosphere and service, and we actually went over there during our last trip for drinks even though we were staying at the HRH ... one afternoon I was planning on hitting some of the Happy Hours in the parks/City Walk, but just couldn't motivate myself out of Jake's.
