Just bought Wicked tickets

Well, after a less than wonderful evening at the theater last night I still can't wait to go back. So I just dropped a pretty penny on tickets to Wicked for next July. I'm already excited and I have over a year to wait. I'm such a dork. I guess I just have to re-read the book while I wait.

I'll wait with you, I bought Wicked tickets for April 2007 in Dallas yesyerday. DD will be thrilled, she really wants to see this show. Her 15th birthday is next month, I intend to order a Wicked T-shirt and include the tickets and shirt amoung her gifts.

We are going next month!!! BUT, we got the tickets about 6 months ago, so we had to wait too. Guess we are all dorks! I post on every Wicked thread that comes along too!

I bought the CD soundtrack and am wondering whether it is time to pull it out. DD will love it! But will is spoil it for us?? The t-shirt sounds like a good idea too!

Wooo Hoooo!!! We're leaving for NYC Monday morning and we'll see Wicked Tuesday night!!!!! We've been waiting since Christmas - we are so excited!!!!

What day are you going? We have tickets the last day of the run, I bought them last fall when they started selling them. It was so hard to buy the tickets for a show almost 2 years away but I knew they wouldn't be available closer. My older DD is about the same age, we'll have to plan to say hello if we are there the same day

My daughters do a great version of that song "Loathing", I think, that begins, "Dearest darling...". They each take a part, and it is so much fun to listen to them!!! I imagine after next week we'll be current on all our "Wicked" songs, and we'll have the T-shirts to prove it!!!

Congrats! Wicked is a great musical IMHO. I saw it with my DH and MIL and had to go see it again with my mom and sisters because we loved it so much.

janette, I just actually looked at our tickets, Oldest DD lives in Dallas and she ordered them for me since I know nothing of the venue and did not know which seats are good ones. Ours are for May 5, 2007. When are yours?

Penny - I went and looked ours are on May 6th, we miss it by a day. The Music Hall at Fair Park isn't the greatest venue, I like Bass Hall in Ft Worth better but Fair Park tends to get the bigger shows.

Let us know and maybe we'll be able to arrange a DIS meet while you are around though. The DFW group gets together pretty often. There was a meet today but I couldn't make it there.

I was one of the lucky few who were able to get tickets for Wicked in Minneapolis, when they went on sale in May. We've been waiting since late March 2005 for them to go onsale. We now have only 3 1/2 weeks until the show. My dd and I are dying, waiting so long!!!! We go opening night, July 12th.

Yeah! I just 2 tickets for SEPT 25, 2007. They are good seat too. 2nd row dress circle. which means only 1 row ahead of us, in the balcony. better than the last row orchestra............

I saw it in Toronto and am seeing it in NYC in August. It will be interesting to compare the touring show with the Broadway show.
