Just bought SSR, current incentive-no referral ???

Well I made the plunge after two years of trying to decide . Bought 150 points at SSR. Called my rep and he said I qualified for the new incentive. 15% off and June 05 points. When I was talking with him I mentioned I had the referral for the incentive. But he never asked for the info. Does that go on the papers I sign or did he goof. Or have they done away with referrals to keep from paying bonuses. Anyway next week I will mention it again. I would like for my referral to get a bonus if possible.

With the 15% off, did you also get the $8 per point incentive?

The new incentive is 15% off of the $98 per point which comes out to $83.30 per point. To get this you suppose to have a member referral. That is someone that already owns and is willing to give you their name ,to give to your DVC rep. If you dont or cant get a referral then the incentive is just the $8 off per point. So it goes from $98 per point to $90 per point. Either way you still get the 2005 points.

It seems to me there are two incentive plans and I have seen elements of both used to describe the same thing. So just to clarify... or correct me if I'm wrong.

No Referral ($90/pt)
We took the tour end of September so I'm sure about part.
You save $8 for each point you buy.
Saratoga Savings Credit = 150pts * 8 = $1200 Saratoga Savings (Down payment discount).
150pts * 98 = $14,700
Down payment = 20% = $2940 - $1200 (Saratoga Savings) = $1740
Total Package Price = 14,700 - 1200 (Savings) = $13,500

Referral ($83.30/pt)
As I understand it you get 15% off the point price so it's a simple;
150pts * 83.30 = $12,495

I think both options give you a June05 use year and all the points for 2005 with pro rated dues. Also maint fees are 3.83/pt.

Now the questions:
1. Is the first package tied to financing?
2. Is the Referral price (83.30/pt) applicable if you don't use their financing and pay by cash or credit?

I think you get the incentive even if you pay cash. Call your guide to be sure.
