Just bought some shares... now what?!

I just bought some shares through Halifax. The Shareholders Club say they don't accept copies of online statments as proof of shareholding, so what do I need to send them as proof and how do I get it?!

some people have cut the top off the page where is shows its been printed online and faxed it anyway and it was accepted

I printed off the contract note and posted it. I went in to my local halifax to try and get them to sign it to verify it but they said they wouldn't because shareholding accounts are different and not dealt with in branch. The shareholders club accepted it ok. Got my card last week. Had to use snail mail as the fax number appeared not to be working at the time I wanted to fax them.

Aha, I've just seen that if you go to the contact note and click on 'printer friendly view' it doesn't look like an online statement anyway!

I emailed the contract note and application form and this was accepted without question.

I printed off the share certificate and the form from the website and got DW to sign them, scanned them back in and emailed them off. Card arrived with Surname Forename on it but no issues using it at DLP.

My colleague has his the correct way round on his card. Mind you, they still get it wrong at my work so maybe they did it wrong as well and ended up with it right by accident
