Congrats! I put in a deposit on a resale last month too. I am taking my DM and DD to a cruise next year. I am paying cash for it, since it costs too much points.

I can't give you any advice regarding the cruise because I haven't been on a Disney Cruise yet. But I am having the same dilemma you are involving SSR. We are also the proud new owners there and I feel I should be staying there on our next visit since it is our home and brand spanking new and all. But, as Pumpkinboy has mentioned, I'm thinking of switching at the 7 mo. mark to another, smaller resort since I may have less of a chance of getting into that one as the years go by. My DH thinks Disney is Disney and it doesn't matter where we stay, but I am over analyzing it and keep thinking I should stay at VWL or BCV while I have the chance. I have 50 more yrs to stay at SSR.

Welcome home,

The first trip we made after becoming members was to our home resort, just my wife and I. It was fantastic, you look at everything differently knowing you have it to enjoy for the next 40 or 50 years. Very special!
We may do a cruise in the future but we still love our home away from home!
