Only you can answer this question. All of us here dont know your financial situation so we can't answer that. All I know is that I love my DVC and even though it makes things a bit tighter financially it is SO worth it!! i would rather give up so many other things (and I have) and keep my 310 points!!

We recently purchased and you must put 10% down on a credit card (I wasn't aware of that before I put my money down but they do it over the phone so it goes on a credit card). If you finance, I believe it is 10.5% interest for a five or ten year term and no interest if you finance for one year. So the total if you purchased 160 points at lets say AKV is $16,640, 10% down would be $1,664. The $8 off per point incentive would be $1,280 discount off the $16,640. So your total financed (if you go that way) would be $13,696 (the total - your down payment - the $8 off per point) plus you need to add in the closing costs. I don't recall exactly what the closing costs were. Hope this helps.

We purchased in Mar. 04 at Saratoga Springs. We have been going at least yearly to see the MOUSE since 96. I wanted to join earlier but just could not make myself make the financial commitment. I would say from the first time that we stayed on property I was definitely hooked. From that point on I never wanted to stay off site and it was just a matter of time. We originally bought 150 points and then added 25 and then 50 points. I never think that you can have enough points but that is what I am willing to commit to at this point. My only regret is that I did not buy sooner.My family I love WDW and are always counting the days until our next vacation.
As you will see the resorts are very beautiful and the rooms and suites are just marvelous. We stayed at a Grand Villa at OKW in 06 with 12 people. It was fantastic. We are going home at Christmas this year and then a cruise next year. The time can not go by fast enough.
