Just bought brand new loaded car for half price

Still pinching ourselves. Fully loaded (we got every option offered) Chevy Cavalier Sport, sticker $20,200, our price $10,500. Here's how we did it:

Chevy is offering $4,000 rebate to current GM owners. We have a GM Credit Card and were nearly maxed out on accrued dollars, so were able to apply $3,400. Got a decent trade allowance. Plus, the car we were set to buy had a rattle they couldn't fix, so they gave us the exact same car, but with a satellite radio (worth $350), and honored the original price.

We were able to pay cash, so no interest.

We'll be driving our new baby to WDW in November!

How do you put $9,500.00 worth of options on a car that has a MSRP of $10,700?

That car normally sells for $8,250.00 "fully loaded".

You're thinking of a "Special Value Package" Cavalier. There have always been many levels of Cavaliers.

great deal. how did you find out about the 4,000 rebate for already owning a GM car?

We went to GM website. My DH is a car guy and he always does his research. We knew the last incentive had just expired so figured a new one was coming. The amount depends on the car, but quite a few models were listed under the $4,000 Loyalty Rebate category.
