Just booked my first "package" at Disney!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

POFQ for six nights in July...king room...Dream Maker Silver. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the paperwork?

Anyone have any tips about using the wishes?

Congrats, most likely it will be about 7 to 10 days for the paperwork.:teeth:

I don't do packages anymore as I've discovered from doing A LOT of math, I come out much better by pricing everything separately.

Here's how I can help you on wishes though. Back when DH and I did the package in 2001 it was then called the DISCOVERY MAGIC PACKAGE. I lost money because I used wishes on breakfast meals. :( I didn't do my research and didn't read the DIS enough before going. Just remember this important information:

Each wish is costing you about $34 each. So as long as each of you spend $34 on whatever you chose...spa treatments, dinner at the high end restaurants, or even one of the tours you WILL come out on top. ::yes:: Also remember this, the 2 wish restaurants are going to cost you $68 for the 2 wishes, so make sure that each of you will be able to eat that much food. Each will get an appetizer, entree, dessert, and non alcoholic drink. Cirque Du Soliel and the Hoop Dee Doo are also good uses of the wishes. Cirque is 2 wishes, the Hoop is only 1. Just do your math and choose wisely. I didn't and lost money and that's why I'll NEVER do a package again.
However, enjoy your trip and I do hope that I've helped.

Blessings,

Denise   :sunny: :sunny:

You will get a confirmation within -10 days. Documents (incl brochures, bag tags, etc) are mailed out after you have made your final payment. They are usually sent about 3 weeks in advance.
Make sure you make all ps you think you might want. And don't forget you get VIP seating at the fireworks and parade. This has to be reserved as well!
The silver plan is great. It really works out to be worthwhile. (If you know how to use it!)

Hey thanks for the tips!! I've never booked a package because before they seemed to be REALLY big ripoffs...but it seems they've revamped them to be better. Anyways, the ONLY reason I did a package was for the wishes to use for Cirque and meals. My husband just loves to eat at Disney (and he never gains weight...jerk  ) and he never feels like he can order what he "really" wants...because it gets pricey. I just wanted to try this package out once and see how we like using it :) We will definitely get our use ;)

How do you make the VIP seating arrangements?

vip seating......you mean for parades and fireworks???
Just call disney and make your ressies for when you would like to use them. When you check in...you'll get vouchers to present when you actually attend the event.
I'm not sure how far out you can make the ressies.....but I know they reccommend making them ahead of time.
We did make ressies the day of at guest services and got a spot for the parade at AK but I guess it is first come first serve so if others booked ahead of you and it is full you may not get a spot.
