Just booked!!!

Well, we are finally heading back!!! 22hrs of driving each way but sooo worth it. Just booked DI&S (stayed here our last 4 trips and really like it) for 10 nights next July (20-30th!!!). We will be there for my MIL's birthday (the big 65). My daugthers will be 10, 9 and 5!!! (my 10 year old will be going for the 7th time lol). NOt bad at all. We will get 5 day hoppers and are thinking of adding a day to Sea World or Legoland. We like having a couple of light days to recoup as we go hard on our park days (would get 7 days if we were allowed). Just excited and had to share and what better place to share than here!!!

I always phone in to book, i'm old school lol. I kept checking the website but eventually just called.

Congratulation,10 days sound beautiful. Booked for 7 days in June yesterday and can't wait. What are your plans for non park days? How long will you have to drive to Sea World? It's in San Diego I think.

Thanks, we are stoked. If we don't add anything we still do 8 days because if we are going to spend all this money we want to be able to get the most of park days. On our days off we usually sleep in, go swimming, check out all the hotel grounds, etc. We eat at Joe's crab shack, maybe do a trip to target (no target in Canada again!). Basically just chill so the kids are ready to rope drop the next day and last till late at night!!!

Yay! I just booked for a 7 night stay in July for my DD 10th birthday. We went for the first time in March of 2016 for spring break, and had a blast! We are going to stay on property this time, although we enjoyed the Homeaway rental the last trip.

Sounds like a fun trip! We're also going to be staying at the Desert Inn April of 2020, this will be our second time at Desert Inn. We never went in the pool last time-- how did you like the indoor pool? This will be my SIL and Nephews first trip to DL , so there will be 6 of us counting my family of four, almost all adults except my son who is 17. We ended up getting a 5-day DL hopper and 1-day Universal combo for this trip, we'll be there 5 full days and maybe use the 5th day disney on travel day when we get there. Otherwise it will be 4 days disney and 1 Universal. Hope you have a great trip, it's fun to start getting things booked as soon as you can and start looking forward to your trip!

The pool is *nasty*. Not because it’s not indoors. because it looks like organisms are growing in it. NO way i’d a set foot in that thing.

We don’t love the pool (literally the only negative about DI&S) but we still use it for a couple of hours on our days off. It’s a pool, kids have fun!

We do not use the indoor pool.
If I have kids going that will want pool time we stay at the Tropicana .
Other than the pool the DI&S is fine. For our stays it has always been clean and comfortable. The location is great.
The free breakfast is .... FREE.
We generally head to Starbucks or La Brea bakery for fast breakfast items and eat while waiting for the gates to open.
