For my 40th birthday in August in the pink hotel.
So excited!!! And obviously got the free half board too.
4th visit but 1st time having any meals in the park.
When/how to book?

Great news, can't think of a better place to be than at Disney for celebrating milestone birthdays ..... or any birthdays, come to that!

You can book meals up to 60 days in advance by phoning 00 33 1 60 30 40 50. I prefer to do this although if you're not going at a really busy time and/or you haven't got your heart set on a certain place/time then you can wait until you get there.

Have you any thoughts about where you'd like to eat yet?

If you're staying at DLH you'll get premium meal vouchers. they cover Inventions and California Grill at the DLH, Buffalo Bills and Auberge de Cebdrillion. Walts and Blue Lagoon also have Premium menus.
My favourites are Inventions and Blue Lagoon. <3

Unfortunately due to having 3 school age kids and a teacher for a husband and an August birthday we are going at a very busy time!!
So yes I will be booking!
The other really dull question is asking for definite if the premium plan really includes the Wild West show and the princess dining thing?
I keep wondering if they just mean eating there but not getting the show /princesses, or if because we have as a freebie there's going to be some exclusion from these events.
I need to manage the expectations of 1 biggish girl and 2 little ones!!!

Argh! You can only book restaurants up to 60 days prior to arrival yes? So if we arrive on the 24th August I can't ring and book now can I?

Yes they will be taking booking for your dates
Ring 0844 200 90 90 this will give you a cheap rate
Then 00 33 1 60 30 40 50 to make your bookings.

Booked Inventions, Buffalo Bills Wild West show, Auberge for 6.30pm for 3 days, then Blue Lagoon at 2.30 on the last day.

Will we get still get princesses at 6.30pm or have I made a mistake?

That I don't know we haven't eaten there yet.
I'm booking for 1 on our trip as I was told this is the best time.

Mmmmm I feel I may change my Auberge booking when we get there...
I'm just conscious of having a decent breakfast, trying to eat a decent lunch (getting money's worth) and then stretching out the grumbly tummies in the evening!
