I have been reading the boards for a while now but this is my first post. We just booked our DW trip for the last week of April. We will be staying at CBR and already have our ADR's made. Even though it is the week after Easter I'm hoping since it is later this year that the crowds won't be quite as bad as in the past but that is probably just wishful thinking.

How exciting, good for you. You're off to a good start, CBR is a great place to stay, especially for a first trip. Take time to smell the roses (literally) and use your fast passes. It should be a beautiful time of year.

I'm afraid that probably is wishful thinking. Definitely be prepared for very large crowds. MK is known to close early in the day due to capacity crowds in the immediate days that surround Easter or on Easter Sunday. Also, if you are planning ANY sit-down/table service/character meals, you need to get on-line tonight and try to see if anything is available. With the large crowds is highly unlikely that any restaurants will be taking walk-ups.

We stayed at CBR 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I just loved the theme and the atmosphere around CBR. The only reason I am staying somewhere else this time is because the double beds are just too small for our family to crunch up into for 10 nights.

so many great bennies there...scenic calm beautiful resort...

Congrats! You are going to have a wonderful time! We stay at CBR each time. we have toured other resorts but love this one. It is quiet and beautiful! I love the palm trees....As for the parks being busy ...be prepared. Go to disney info sites and read up on how to do the parks on busy days. I like easywdw.com. There is a calender of dates on which parks to go to that day to avoid most of the crowds. We use the calender every year! As posted before..remember to stop and smell the roses! Have Fun!!!

Looks like you picked a good time go. You dont say your arrival date, but starting the Thursday after Easter crowds thin out and stay lower into May!
