American Airlines are having a four-day sale which means that you can get a return flight to Orlando for as little as £340.

Which is exactly what we've just done! Not bad for the school holidays (April). We have to connect (adds about 4-5 hours each way) but we're saving £300 over Virgin and £400 over BA for the same dates. I know Virgin and BA are slightly "better" than AA but I've flown with AA twice before and had no problems (and the food is better than Virgin's!) so I'm happy with that saving :rotfl:

Booked our hotel too already; going to the one we ended up going to 'last minute' (i.e. 48 hours before we flew out) last time after the hotel company we originally booked through went bankrupt and our reservation was cancelled :scared1: :lmao:

Really looking forward to it!!

That's sounds like a really great price. I bet Wayne will be checking it out when he reads your post:)

Already checked:lmao:
Posted in Obi's thread yesterday http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2237969
Checked Oct Half term and April hols both over £500 each(nearer £600) glad someones found a deal, nothing for us.

We 'slice' a few days off either end to go for 10 days which saves a heck of a lot compared to flying at the weekend. It also means we get the weekends at either end to prepare and recover!

Also looked into cutting the trip but nothing suitable from Manchester, either 2 stops or 31hours to get there:scared1: to get a good price, don't fancy another flight from London.

Yes living in Halifax, we have same problems as you Wayne, very frustrating!

Ah see my folks live within easy driving distance of Luton, Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick at a push so we just crash with them as a 'visit' :lmao:

We have the same problem too. What we need to for some lovely airline to start using LBA too and generate some competition.

Although we only paid 89.00 each for a connection with BMI from man to LHR this year.

LBA now have connections to Gatwick, so maybe we need to start looking at those fares and connection times.

LBA have just announced expansion plans haven't they, so maybe things are looking up! lets keep our fingers crossed!:goodvibes

Good for you! :thumbsup2

Happy planning! :goodvibes

Thank you, we're happy with the deal. We also got a great deal on a hotel. Now there's nothing more to do until nearer the time when we'll purchase our Universal tickets and renew our insurance, then off we go!
