I'm so excited! Just booked SSR one bed for June 28 to July 5. Need any and all advice. Which section to request, what's cool about resort, how we walk to dtd.

It's me, DH and DS (will almost be 4).

Thanks!!!

Sorry ... Advice

The Grandstand area (primarily the 8000's) will be pretty close to the Carriage House (check-in) and boat transportation to DTD. The Congress Park area will put you the closest to DTD. If you get in the 1500-2500 numbered rooms that should put you in the middle of Congress Park and close to that particular quiet pool and almost equal distance from the Carriage House and DTD.

Some of the quiet pools have some kiddie water play areas, the main pool does indeed have an area and has a zero entry area into the main pool. There are some playgrounds around the park. You can rent bikes, surrey bikes, fishing excursions, mouse boats, tennis, basketball, and there is a spa.

HTH

P.S. - Having a one bedroom will completely spoil you!

We prefer the Grandstand section and we try to ask for a room overlooking the golf course. It is very quiet, has a quiet pool and splash park, quick walk to bus stop and is the first stop for the buses through the resort. Also a short (5-10 min) walk to resturant and main pool. The community center is great and they have many activites through out the day. The walk to DTD is not far from that side (10-15 min) but you do end up at the end by Disney Quest. We love SSR because we think it is one of the most relaxing resorts.

Recently back from SSR we stayed in Congress Park Room number was 15?? about a 10 minute walk to DTD Marketplace also about 10 - 15 minutes from the main area. Beautiful resort very peaceful. looking forward to a return trip next year.

I would not request Grandstand, as they will be doing room rehabs then.

I would ask for Congress Park, Springs, or Paddock.

I'm thinking paddock bc I read they have new pool with slide for our son .... Is that correct?
