I'm very excited!! On a whim, I just decided to call and see if I could get in to Raglan Road next week, and they had an opening at the exact time I wanted! The reviews have been so great, and I love the DTD atmosphere. Can't wait to try the bread pudding!
For those who have eaten there, please tell me what appetizer and entree you ordered, how you like it, and a brief description. Thanks so much!!!

Here ya' go! :thumbsup2

Seared Scallops: Perfectly prepared with a wonderful sweet corn relish and candied lemon. Delish!
Goats Town: One of the most delicious dishes I have ever had! A wonderful goat cheese lightly seasoned & “fried” and served with grilled crostini, a raspberry compote and fresh raspberries. Simply perfect!
Dalkey Duo: It was served in a fun way-on top of forks sticking up from a wooden plate. Not only was it “fun,” it was also quite yummy and the mustard dipping sauce was perfect.

Serious Sirloin Steak: Grilled exactly the way I ordered it & glazed with a scrumptious Irish whiskey glaze and drizzled with a very light basil oil. Although it comes with “plain”mashed potatoes, the server happily let me replace them with colcannon, a delicious dish of mashed potatoes, sautéed onion s, cabbage and bacon. YUMM!
Shepard’s Pie: RR twist is to make this with prime rib and lamb. This was the only dish I was disappointed in. It simply had no flavor and so I just nibbled a bit.
Paddy’s Pork: My DH enjoyed this so much that he ordered it both nights! It was the most flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender pork we had ever had! The sausage stuffing and the honey soy glaze were both fantastic yet not overwhelming. Wonderful!!
Salmon of Knowledge: I agreed with my DS-the best salmon we have ever had! And my son knows his salmon! He got the maple glaze on the side yet ended up loving it!
Fish & Chips: Nothing “fancy” yet cooked perfectly and served with a wonderful fresh tartar sauce.

I have not eaten the RR Shepard’s Pie. I have been with a few people who have. (At different times.)
From what I understand it is very basic -- ground meat piled on top of potatoes.
If you have a picky eater, or someone who wants something more along the bland side, Shepard’s Pie is probably a good choice for them.
The two people I was with had no complaints about it at all. (One was DH.) But it was just a basic type meal. Just seems to be a no nonsense comfort food.

It's Not Bleedin Chowder...check out the menu on allearsnet, it has a description...

Got an ADR for 10/21 at 6pm.... I was told my was the only ADR that night.

Not very popular?

Really? Maybe people don't know that you can make ADRs. When I was there in May it was pretty busy. I had an ADR for 8:30 but ended up getting in a little earlier.

To the OP: If you have room for dessert, definitely check out the bread pudding. They give you 2 sauces that you are supposed to pour down the center. It was incredible! For my app I had the scallops -- awesome, very juicy and for my entree I had the fish & chips -- also excellent.

Isn't the Bread Pudding fantastic?! We just ordered the Head Chef's cookbook from B & N. We can't wait for it to arrive! :cool1:

I was in heaven! I was already stuffed from my meal but I had heard so much about it that I just had to order it. I ended up eating about 1/2 and had to roll myself out. :lmao: Next time, I may skip the app so that I can have more room for dessert.

I love the bread and butter pudding! The first time I had it, my server told me to dig a little hole in it with my spoon and then pour both sauces in. The butterscotch and the hard sauce really compliment each other. My cousin ordered the creme brulee on our May trip and she declared she was finally free of her ex because his wasn't the best creme brulee she'd had. ;)

For appetizers, I like the Drunk Chicken, the Dalkey Duo, and the Heaven on Earth (ribs with fantastic Guinness-based sauce). The latter two are meant to be shared. As for entrees, I've had Paddy's Pork, and Kevin's Heavenly Ham (which I still want to call Kevin's Kudos). Both were excellent, but I think I'd say the pork was just slightly better. Unless the "ham" changed its recipe as well as its name, it's actually Canadian (back) bacon. Either way, it's delicious.

The Irish Stew and an couple (2, 3, 4, 5,....) glasses of Guinness, is wonderful.

Fish and chips (with the before mentioned beer) is also great.

You will love it.

We have booked Raglan Road for an ADR on 9-18, before our Cirque adventure. I booked it based on all the awesome reviews I have read here. :goodvibes I showed my DH the menu, and he was pretty excited about the Ham meal. I think the Paddy's pork looks good, and I'm sure my nieces will go with the steak; they are not really adventurous eaters. Thanks DIS boards for making my trip easier to plan! This is our first trip!

DH ordered the house specialty ham last month and loved it!

I ordered the Fish and Chips and was disappointed as it was BLAND!

DH also loved the Bread Pudding. The Drunk Chicken was a good appetizer!
