I'm so excited! :bounce:

We decided to book room-only for now...we will probably add on tickets and dining. I am just waiting to see if there will be any codes or special deals since our trip begins during the value season.

We are going 2/11/06-2/18/06--7 nights

AAA rate $111.00.

This is a trip to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday--just me and my mom! ;)

Sounds fun! Congrats on your booking. We're planning on going Feb 10-17, but after reading the 2006 Unofficial Guide's crowd level rating for that week, I'm freaking out! :scared: 7's and 8's?! And I can't quite figure out WHY since it is a whole week before President's Day/Week. Anyway, have you ever been that week? Everyone who has been seems to say its a good week to go (low crowds etc), but the Guide indicates pretty big crowds.

Anyway, have fun planning...and here's to some GREAT code! :flower:

No, we have never gone at this time...the only thing that I can think of, is that some schools take the week before President's Day off--so both weeks might be effected. I hope it won't be too crowded!

The only time I have been to WDW was in 2001--Thanksgiving week! It was pretty crowded. We did the commando-type vacation :rotfl: and we did fine. We pretty much followed the Unofficial Guide's plans and did a lot of park hopping to avoid the crowds and it worked great.

Have fun planning!

P.S. Where are you staying?

Hi again :flower:
We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. If I could just figure out which week I want to go, I'd feel much better about the whole thing. I think you might be right about schools being out, so I'm going to go post on the planning board and see if a lot of people's kids have off that week. I'm really trying to avoid crowds, so I think I'm leaning towards late January, but I can't decide!! :scared:

Does the $111 per night rate inc tax?

I don't know if you have ever done POFQ before, but it is my most favorite. I LURV (yes, that means love) it there.

I am not trying to burst your bubble, but that is peak season, so don't be surprised if you do not see any codes.

The OP's dates start in value season. I don't think peak season begins until Feb. 16th. So if the OP books in value season, that would be the rate for the entire stay.
