I booked for Sept 22 to Sept 30, the times for the 22nd were what I expected but the times for the 30 were not, the latest flight out is 1:55 PM
What happened to the 6pm flight. :confused3 We wanted to get the most out of that last day. I checked other Saturdays for the times that just opened and it is the same every Saturday, no flights after 1:55.
Do they do this sometimes and then add the flight later, if they do how difficult will it be to change my flights, I booked the tickets one way instead of round trip.
It is not the end of the world but would have been nice.

Thanks so much for any info you may have.

Many airlines fly a reduced schedule on weekends. September is not a heavy travel time either. I wouldn't expect them to add a later flight but if they did you could switch since SW doesn't charge for changes.

Do you live right in Pittsburgh? We live in California, PA about 1.5 hours from the airport. If you see a mom, dad, ds7 and ds5, day hi, it just may be us

We live in Eighty Four. Wow not that far from you.

It will be myself (mom) my husband, DS(8) and DD(3) . I'll look out for you!

My boys just played T-ball game in eighty four a few weeks ago. It really is a small world.

Also, I just saw on the SW website, our return flight is no longer available at the cheaper fare. Glad I booked early today.

Hi! :wave2:

I'm just south of you all.

Hi! to both of you.

I figured that low airfare was going to go fast on the September 30 flight. I'm glad I booked it too.

I did call SW and she said its unlikely they will add another flight but if the 2 they have become overbooked, maybe they will.

Where you guys staying? Are you going to the MNSSHP?

Marseeya, what town are you in?
RoliePolieOliefan, we are staying at CSR and yes we are going to MNSSHP. We have tickets for the 29th, I have never been to this and am very excited.
Are you guys going??

Yep we are going also. I haven't bought tickets yet though. We have ADR's at 5:15 at the LTT. We went last year also and its so much fun.

I'm going on the Ladies Only DIS Meet from Sept. 28th to Oct. 2nd and many of us are staying at CSR (as well as Pop and DVC). Check it out on the DIS meets forum!

I won't be able to buy my plane tickets just yet, as most of our money right now is tied up in our upcoming trip next week, but I plan on flying out as early as possible on the 28th. Another Pittsburgher from the DIS is going to try to get the same flight so we can go down together. :goodvibes

Dawn, I'm from Waynesburg, how about you? DUH, nevermind, I just read that you're from California. I sure wish I would have gone to the university there instead of where I'm at now! I've heard such good things about that school. Plus, I used to party there when I was younger. :rolleyes1 That's a different story, though...

That's too funny! I grew up in Eighty-Four (proud Ringgold graduate here :cheer2: ) I lived right across the Thomas baseball/softball field! I played MANY games there!!!

I'll miss all you other 'Burghers as I will be there Sept 6-10.

As for the OP, I'm not sure with Southwest about changing flights. Most other carriers will charge a fee (USAirways is usually $100) to change a flight.

Southwest does not charge to change a flight but you would still be subject to increase in fares.

RoliePolieOlieFan, we have ADR's at Tony's for 5 something, I can't remember. So glad you had a good time last year, makes me think the money for the tickets was worht it.
Marseeya, so funny about Cal, that is where I get the money for my Disney trips, oops I mean work.

Hi all you people from around Pittsburgh. I live about 20 miles NE , right by the new Pittsburgh Mills Mall.

Marseeya I'm going to the DIS ladies only meet too so I know I'll see you there ;)
Also going to MNSSHP on the 29th. Hope to see a bunch of you there.:)

I havent booked my flight yet , just started looking... does anyone know if SW usually has any goods deals closer to Septmeber ? Debating whether to book now or wait.

I think it all depends when you are leaving and coming back. The cheap fares for the Sept 30 flight are already sold out. You can always book then change to a cheaper rate if "Ding" prices come out.

Hi Everyone!!! I live about 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh around Kittanning. Myself, DH and DD are going week of Aug 19th.... I bought my tickets thru Disney and got round trip for 129.00 plus tax on Airtran. It was the best deal I could find.....Not sure if they are still offering this, but it was $100.00 cheaper than on Airtran website.

Hope Everyone enjoys their trip...

We live about 1 hour north of Pittsburgh (Grove City, where the Prime Outlets are) As part of my daughter's high school graduation present we are going to the World for our first summer trip in 17 days. We have always gone in October or January. She is starting at Cal U in the fall, what department do you work in? This is my first one to leave home and I am just a little (okay a whole lot) anxious about her having all that freedom. We took a trip down to California a couple weeks ago, I loved the town and the campus. Enjoy your trip.
