Just booked our trip!! Transportation?

Good morning everyone! We just booked our trip for June and are so excited. My DH & I haven't been there since 2003 & it will be our DD's first time as well as our 2 nieces and BIL & SIL....Our package doesn't include transportation from the airport to the hotel & back. With our coupon, mears is about $200!! Anyone used a cab? If so, Approximately how much is it? We are staying at the Hyatt Place Orlando Universal. We got a pretty good deal but it kind of stinks to pay that much for transportation. Thanks so much!!!

It was around $50+tip for a cab from MCO to Universal 2 years ago. It was a full sized van, so plenty of room for 5 of us - not sure if they'll take 7 though. Even so, 2 cabs is still a lot cheaper than your Mears price.

I've not used a cab, but using the fare estimator http://www.mearstransportation.com/taxi-services/taxi-fare-estimator/ I'd guess it would be about $40-50 each way. Also, staying at the Hyatt Place you may want to look at a rental car.

I just booked Mears from The Royal pacific to the airport for four and it was $45.

We are going in September to Universal for a couple of days and then transferring over to CBR and I was able to find a rental car pick up at hotel for around $190.00 total (Sept 27 - Oct 3) for an economy car. We were having a difficult time deciding what transportation to use, so we just decided to go with the rental
